The concept car designed for kids to drive & visually modify.
Parents needn't be too concerned, either. Even though kids can control the car from the front seat, the right-side rear seat also has access to steering and braking controls so that mum or dad can take over if things get a little hairy — although, the cars won't exactly be breaking the sound barrier in terms of speed. Toyota didn't say exactly how fast they could go, but it's on the low side.
The green Cammatte looks very much like a 21st century 2CV, with those round headlights sitting proud of the body, tall, skinny wheels, cycleguards and a somewhat functional approach to styling. It has an electric drive-train and its two 2.7 HP motors are powered by a lithium-ion battery that can be charged using a household outlet. One charge has a range of 50 km. It has no emissions at point of use.
