A car made legendary for it's reliability and supercar like acceleration if you know how to drive it. Powered by the 5S-FE it was definitely a sleeper in truest sense of the word.

This car should be in GT6, no car can beat it.

Wow looks like you incorrectly spelled lots of words. Here I'll fix it for you:

"A car made legendary for it's boring design and lack of soul, no matter how you drive it. Powered by the 5S-FE it was definitely slow in truest sense of the word.

This car should never be in GT6, no one can bear it."

A child can say their pet rock is so obedient, kind and smart, but in the end, it's still just a rock...

I'm sorry but there is no reason to make fun of him. It's probably his own car and he loves it, we should respect that.
For me one of Gran Turismo's main features, as it is for many, is the fact that you can drive a real world car, a daily commuter, in a race track, with no law or limit.

Real enthusiasts enjoy the experience behind every single car, no matter how boring some might say they are.

There's actually some context behind the "2.2 being faster and more reliable than anything else if you know how to drive it" shtick.

Although original traces of it on GTP have been deleted or hidden, it boiled down to a guy (now banned) claiming his Camry was the pinnacle of automotive development and that he was a master behind the wheel. Until he crashed it into a parked car because he wore sandals while driving, that is.

It's a stale joke these days. Just thought I'd give you the short version.

I don't own one (What I drive is MUCH more boring). This was base on a GTP thread that started a running joke about the 2.2 being a very fast car.

Thank you, I didn't know!

SORRY I cannot vote for this at all... this never had supercar like acceleration, not even the V6 cambry had supercar like acceleration... It has never been the most reliable car... specially when you have to replace a timing belt at 65k miles or let it snap around 120k miles, or dealing with electrical problems when the car gets older even if you took care of it like if it was your own baby. and no matter how you drove the car, even if it was the 5 speed close gear ratio that would let you do highway speeds at 2300RPM, ""THE CAR NEVER HAD SUPERCAR LIKE ACCELERATION"" did it ever do 10 seconds or less on the quarter of mile stock? or even with a custom turbo? or the TRD super duper charger? or NOS WITH TURBO & SUPER DUPER CHARGER & ROTARY HEADS & JUNGLE JUICE? mmm...

I'm 99% sure this car would be faster sitting on a trailer then under it's own power.

But... for me it has always beens the gold standard in boring and because of that I would love to race it in GT6.

I'm sorry if I was a bit harsh, maybe the original poster of this thread was using sarcasm and I didn't pick up on it. But saying that the most boring and slow version of one of the world's most boring and slow cars is awesome and fast, well that pushed one of my buttons. This thing could not even be called a car, it's an appliance.

Saying super car acceleration is bit of a stretch. I have a feeling you own this car?

Doubt it.

As explained previously, the subject of the 2.2L Camry, and a certain owner, is part of a played out and very stale joke.

Maybe in the 1930s it would have been fast but no I was being sarcastic. I really do want the car in the game, just figured I'd make a joke in the post.
