Engine: 4-inline 2100ccm, 750+ HP
Weight: 914 Kg
Won 21 out of 27 races entered

Since there have never been ANY of the IMSA GTP monsters in the Gran Turismo series I'd start with one of the most successful cars, the Eagle MKIII.

21 Races won to be exact. ;)

...............No kidding, I also read the OP. I was just expressing my surprise. I mean, don't tell me you aren't even slightly apprehensive about that little motor (probably nicked from a Corolla or somesuch) whacking out 750 horses....How often did this motor need a rebuild? I assume it's after every race....

..............750 horses from a 2.1????? Where do I sign up??
Can't believe the motor was reliable enough to finish a race, let alone win one.
That's nothing. Back in the eighties, Formula 1 cars were making more than that from 1.5 liters turbo V6s. According the Wikipedia, the McLaren MP4/3 from '87 made 960 horsepower in race tune, and 1020 in qualifying. That's the beauty of turbos.

...........And they swapped out those motors after every race. Yeah I read about those "turbo" era too. I remember reading an article about BMW's F1 effort in the 80s, where they actually took a stock 1.5 liter motor (or engine, if you prefer) and wrung out 1500 horses on qualifying trim. Crazy.

Yeah, I think I've heard about BMW making 1500 horsepower in qualifying. I think that was from a 4 cylinder too. But I didn't know they had to replace the engines every race. Guess reliability gets thrown out the window with that much boost.
