StarLight presents today a rally car, the Toyota GT86 CS-R3, since we don't have a rally car from the Toyota this should be nice addition to GT6.
The Toyota GT86 CS-R3 has been built by Tommi Makinen Racing in Finland with the blessing of Akio Toyoda, the president and CEO of Toyota Motor Corporation.
It will make his debut in public and competition during the German Rally in August, which will be the 'zero car'. The Toyota will be drive by Isolde Holdereid since she won the Ladies Cup World Rally Championship and she will debut again in a new Toyota for the second time in three years after her debut in the Toyota Yaris R1.
The car is rear wheels driven and is a R3, with the chief engineer of Toyota Motorsport noted that "it is exciting news for TMG and I hope to rallying in general. It is important to say that the GT86 CS-R3 that will fly Isolde is not finished; need data of the German Rally to finish our development program". Still, the official assured that the vehicle already gives a good indication to potential future customers, saying he was confident with the design: "The fact that we test our prototype in the World Rally shows the confidence we have in this project, which has already exceeded our expectations, "he said.
The GT86 CS-R3 has a two-liter engine that can charge between 240 and 250 hp, equipped with a sequential gearbox six-speed a safety cell with optimized weight and a rear limited slip differential. Design requirements are met FIA. Remember that the Toyota Yaris WRC is another novelty of the Japanese, which should start asphalt testing as early as August.
