The past few days I've been trying to get my percentage up as much as possible seeing as I can't get passed the last event in the Professional hall. Anyway, I was looking through the manufacturer events and I saw in the Toyota event listings that I haven't completed the Altezza event, so I went on a search to find one, which I couldn't find one. I looked in the New car listing on the Toyota page also checked the Used car listings in Early 90s and Late 90s and still couldn't find one. Wondered if someone can tell me where to find one or am I just being dumb? Thanks.

Lexus is in the New Car listing in the US manufacturer area.

Toyota Altezza under Japan. If I am not mistaking it is called Lexus IS200 in the game. But isn't it really called IS300?

Yea, I bought the IS200 I think, looks nice in blue with yellow/gold alloys and a big wing on a back. Looks like a Subaru/Skyline.

The Lexus you can find at used car list is tunebale up to 700hp. 👍
I think its the IS300 afaik but I dont know exactely. Wait a minute, isn't the IS300 not allowed at the Altezza race?

However, do the Altezza race, you will get a nice price car.:sly:

The prize car isnt bad. Can't say I will ever use it though.
The prize car the Altezza Touring Car is one hell of a car I tell you. She handles like its on rails and I won the Tokyo Endurance with a 110kg ballast and bound to use it for my next Nurburgring 24hr endurance.

Any Lexus IS is allowed in the Altezza race. It's kind of strange that it's called an Altezza event even though you can't buy a Toyota Altezza in the game (at least not in the North American version).

BTW, the first generation Lexus IS/Toyota Altezza (the ones available in the game) had either 2.0L or 3.0L engines available, which is why you see the IS200 name. IS300 means it has a 3.0L engine. The second generation (not in the game but being sold now) is called either IS250 or IS350 to reflect the 2.5L and 3.5L engines available.

The IS200 and 300 are just rebadged Atezzas for the American Market, so technically you can buy an Altezza, it's just not called an Altezza.

Depends on where you call "here". If it is England, I believe it is IS's as England has become very Americanised where cars are concerned.

P.S - Avoided temptation by spelling Americanised with a "Z" which would further enforce my point :P

No. The IS200 is a rebadged Altezza, but we never got it. The IS200 was a rebadged Altezza for Europe, and it also has a completely different engine from the Altezza RS200, whose engine only stayed in Japan for the Altezza. Europe got a 2.0L I6. The only Altezza we got in America as the IS300 and IS300 Sportcross.

Yes, we Americans only got the 3 litre 2JZ-GE engine, I don't think Europe got a 2 litre inline 6 though, (I don't even think a 2 litre I6 exists!) they got the 2 litre 3S-GE 4 cylinder engine while the Japanese also used the 3S-GE in their top Altezza model, the RS200.

Yes, I made a slight factual error but the main point was true; IS's are rebadged Altezzas.

Yeah US got the 2JZ-GE inline-6 which we all know can easily be fitted with GTE parts for over 800hp+.

Now for 2005+

Europe got
IS 250 V6, 204 hp Rear wheel drive
IS 220d Inline-4, 175 hp Rear wheel drive, manual transmission only.

U.S got
IS 250 V6, 204 hp Rear wheel drive
IS 250 AWD V6 204 hp :)
IS 350 306 hp Rear wheel drive :)

SportCross station wagon version was dropped from the lineup worldwide.

There, fixed that for ya.

I have no idea why Lexus felt they had to mess up the most powerful version of the IS (supposedly a "compact performance luxury sedan") by not even giving customers the option of a manual tranny. Auto-only blows. Shame on Toyota; they've gotten a lot worse in recent years dropping the Celica, MR2 and Supra, and they have more auto-only cars than GM (at least I think they do).

^^.......I don't like the direction the IS is going. I mean from SPORTY MT SEDAN to AUTOMATIC 2ton LUXO MOBILE. There supposed to compete with BMW 3series and Audi's A3 with MT. There deff not going to win the sporty enthusiast's side. I thought that's what the IS was aiming for: Compact luxury sports sedan segment, what happened.
Oh but IS does stand for Intelligent Sport so I guess they went for an Intelligent Transmission instead of conventional.
