Hey, I'm pretty new at this so I have no idea what I'm doing.
Yesterday me and a friend figure out why we always had trouble in the start with the engine almost dying when you let the brake go. That was the Traction control, so now I run with no TC so that's good.

Now I want to know if I can make my Supra the Ultimate drag car. And like I said, I have no idea of what I'm doing, I have maxed everything in the LSD except for the brakes, that's about it.

If you got any settings for me I can use I'm more than happy if you would like to share them with me.

I would also like to know how I can remove understeer on some cars that I've trouble with. My GT-R SpecV is kind of good but I know it can be better, I know I can go faste through corners. I also got the Viper SRT10 ACR for the American Race car event that I seem to have trouble with, even on the first track with 4 corners i have to brake to much so all the other cars run by me like I was some 1 legged and blind homeless dude. My car just go straight in those corners. I'm wondering though if that's a Traction Control problem, I have no Idea... Again.

Regards.

Okay, regarding the Supra RZ im also testing some different setups for drag. If I were you, I would max the car in all parts, then set all LSD setting to default. You have to change your setup depending if you are going the full tunnel, or to first, second or third light in the tunnel because you won't "need" high speed just to be fast on the 1/4 mile.

I think the gear ratio will help you more in drag racing than LSD setting, because depending how you set your ratio, you will get slower acceleration and higher top speed, or faster acceleration but topping out.

For better traction try softer suspension in the rear. I haven't tried that myself, but according to others it can have some impact on the traction.

Some people try to launch in 2nd gear and in that way they don't lose any time shifting from 1st gear to 2nd. The launching is very crucial. I have done some testing and if I launch in 2nd gear and go full tunnel on ssr7 I save about 0.3 seconds instead of launching in 1st gear. The time I lose is probably the wheelspin and changing gear from 1st to 2nd.
---------------------------------------------
My test:

Final Gear Ratio 410 km/h

Launch 1st gear:

1. 39.4 s
2. 39.9 s
3. 39.5 s
4. 39.3 s
5. 39.1 s

1+2+3+4+5 = 197.2/5 = 39.44 s

Launch in 2nd gear:

1. 39.0 s
2. 39.1 s
3. 39.3 s
4. 39.0 s
5. 39.2 s

1+2+3+4+5 = 195.6/5 = 39.12 s

Summary: 39.44 - 39.12 = 0.32. I save 0.32 seconds launching from 2nd gear. I don't know how reliable these numbers are. I used a stop watch to measure time from the game replay.

Final Gear Ratio 400 km/h

Launch in 2nd gear:

1. 38.8 s
2. 38.7 s
3. 38.8 s
4. 38.7 s
5. 39.1 s

1+2+3+4+5 = 194.1/5 = 38.82 s

Summary: I haven't tested to launch in 1st gear with this setup, but according to my data im a little bit faster when gearing is set to 400 km/h instead of 410 km/h because acceleration is slightly faster when final gear ratio is decreased. When doing full tunnel my speed is more or less 361-363 km/h (~ 225-227 mph).

Anyone else that can give some good tip on drag setup for the Supra RZ?

Traction is the big problem, my 3000GT (GTO) Twin Turbo is faster from the launch than my Supra RZ, despite having 100 less horsepower. I think raising the front and lowering the rear will give you better traction (negative rake), along with softening the springs in the rear. Make sure you have no downforce if you have a spoiler. Strengthen your front spring rate. Increase your front extension and compression strut settings to the max, but set your rear to have a higher extension setting then compression. That way it will be more likely for the rear to go sink than rise.

I also think the drag racing in gt5 does not represent how powerful your car is on the straight line, and that is because we don't have a proper drag strip and tires that can simulate drag slicks.

The other thing is the lack of throttle controll and clutch with the DS3. If you were about to do a street drag, in real life you would never full-throttle your 700 hp Supra with street tires because that would only result is massive wheelspin. Instead you would controll the launch with the right amount of throttle and clutch force to get a smoth but fast launch.

hi everyone its my first post in this forum first thing sorry for my bad english
