Hi, What are your thoughts on the Toyota Supra RZ. If You tune it to the max and do some tweaking in the engine work you can make it go SUPER FAST. OVER KM/H:eek::);)

It is indeed a fast car, but it has more torque than what the chassis can handle. In addition, it's nose-heavy.

Very fast. Trust me on that ;). And the car does very fast laps on certain tracks, but the wheelspin can be rather difficult to deal with... like Leo said, it's not very balanced either. Still fun though!

Myself and PAPAOSA spent many hours tuning this car in GT and GT2.
We found it to be the car to hold all our lap records, by quite a margin.
Wheelspin was the biggest problem to tune out of the car, as a result throttle control was the ultimate remedy for this.

Love the car, and I am looking forward to driving this in GT5.👍

I rather like it more as a lower powered street car, when it's not overpowered, it's quite a hoot to drive then. I too look forward to this car in GT5 plus hundreds others.

I actually like this car, and I hate Toyota with a passion.

Handles nicely and can be very fast. Throttle control is needed though.

You have just made #1 on my 'hit' list, you Toyota hating person. :irked::dopey::P

All the supra models are fast, but the earlier Mk III (MA70/JZA70) version handles better than the Mk IV (JZA80) version and reigns in the wheelspin a lot better. 👍

As I am sure you have gathered by now, it has some wheel spin issues, and has a slight balance problem, especially on the last generation version, but apart from that, it is a good sprint car, and quite a good handling car as well. It has huge potential to be properly tuned, and could make a serious short-medium distance race car.

The main problem of the MkIV isn't the actual amount of power but the rev range in which it's found. If it had that much grunt at high revs there would be very little to complain about but now, even with the supposed-to-be-peaky-as-hell Stage 4 turbo, it begins to die well before the redline. That's what I call wasted potential.

I don't know, some time back before my DFP's Brake pedal broke (:indiff:), I spent a vast amount of effort tuning a silver MkIV with certain components in mind, aiming to create a rival for Leo's Grim R34per, and as long as the driver had common sense, the project was a success, but some flaws in GT4's physics still hindered it, so Grim was still able to come out on top, Leo might say something similar if you asked him.

In fact, I think I still have that Supra, though now it collects dust since I can't drive with a busted pedal...

Ouch Kurei, too bad about the brake-age :P (Purposely misspelled, grammar nazis)

A MkIV on R tires might not be so bad but forward traction is just... Wrong on it.

Ah dude, I'd disagree with you. IV is much more capable. Less understeer. Grips into turns better. Better at high-speed braking. Trail-brakes more successfully...MKIII is just a sports car made for the highways. MKIV is more like a sports car that's been track-tuned.

The Mk4 is more capable when it's got similar power levels, this is true. But when you take both out to the N'th degree, the Mk3 shows it's potential more where the Mk4 becomes an exercise in futility. Only on R3's does the Mk4 start to level the playing field back out. S3's are a different kettle of fish though, the Mk3 will eat the 4 alive, the Mk4 has way too much front end scrub which kills off tyres for enduros and 888hp + S3's = bad news. :mischievous: I actually would've said the Mk4 is a high speed cruiser and the Mk3 is the more track based car. ;)

Speaking of which, the GT4TC guys (you know who you are in that group) should get back onto tackling that S3'd car and fixing all the issues we still have with it.

Yes we are. TCv5 allowed us to be distracted and since all you guys have to do is wait for our results, it's better for us to get back on top of this. 👍

And senamic's the boss, not me....it's his group. :P:lol:

In GT3 I managed to get a Supra to reach 410km/h, but I still prefer the GT-R, because the Supra is just trying to be a faux-European sports car.
