Purchased this car today from the second hand section it had only 6.2 miles on the clock and I decided to fully tune and get this thing to eat up time attack track days for breakfast. I found the car to be a delight to drive stock wit hno aids, and even when on N3 tyres it was dream. So here you go, these are my settings, any feedback from you guys would be much apreciated and would love to see what you guys think of it.

enjoy :)

Oh I thought you were referring to a section here devoted to laptimes.. No thats okay, I'll let him tell me. I perfer the RZ :)

<_Spike_>
To be fair George, a lap time 4DSC could do, could easily be very different to a laptime sprite could do in the same car.

Exactly ;)

Ok will get too it, lol didnt run the Nur in this car, but im willing to set a time for ya.

Hey man, its cool.. Just thought you did since I know alot of people try to lap that track out of all the others. I reckon it will be in the neighborhood of 6:55 btw :)

im good with doing and playing with the gear ratios :), so once i get home, i check yours out,
the camber angle on the back tires is too big 4.5 is too high, the tires will tend to spin out more, a 2.8 will be a perfect combo for the back camber for this car in my opinion.

u bought the brake controller and did not set it up.. waiste of money, springs rates are too high if you would like to race on the NUR or other bumpy track, the dampers are high as well.... lower them to make more tracktions when exiting corners but dont go too low or ealse ;)

it seems like you dont know much about specs of cars :) no offense,

hey i ment no harm :guilty:
oh well moving on :D

None taken, I actually like these settings, but for other people they maybe way off base, but I guess this is just down to prefrence. I know I fitted the brakeing controle, and used 3/3 this is because I actually had them set to 5/6 but hated it, so ended up back at 3/3 I always fit the parts just in case I want to change the settings nothing more, for me tuning cars isnt about setteling on one set of settings, but more of an evolution of settings, trying to improve upon them till I either get bored of the car or find that I cant improve on them myself, hens the post here seeing if you guys could come up with anything new to help on improve the car, Im always willing to here what you have to say, thus my not taking your post to heart.

I may not know how to tune, but I have fun trying ;)

edit BTW i forgot, This car was never intended to run the nur, It was for Tsukuba and Fuji Speedway (all) hens the super stiff suspention.

edit #2 Just ran the Nur with the above settings, yes this car hates the bumbs, but not as much as I thought, The only thing that let it down for me was the actual acceleration but it managed to get over 170 top end which was ok, but the time was an ok time nothing too quick I got a 1'10.445 and that was on the edge of everything seriously bumpping around but I managed to keep it to the track and hardly on the grass. But seeing as this car was never even ment to go to the nur it did quite well.

Heres a tip

When buying a used car go to "Other" first if it has the body refresher plan, do that before installing ANY part. This will return the body to the original state. If you tune it then put that on it was refresh the body to the state it was in after being tuned. It'll make it handle better. 👍

I do think it would be good to note that if a used car understeers badly.. Maybe a refresher plan may not be the best choice since the stiffer the body the more it will understeer. I could be wrong though since steering/driver imputs become more precise..

yes but if you buy the car used but with only 6.2 miles on the clock then you dont need to, thats why I didnt add that to the lis of parts seeing as it wasnt needed.

edit lol I posted that it did a 1'10.445?? but I meant ot post 7'10.455 lol my mistake.

Great to see other Supra lovers.
I'm busy finding a decent setup for the Ring to enter the 24hr Endurance in a RZ. Stock HP (for higher A-Spec points) Medium Sports tyres (which may be swapped for Hard Sports if I can get my laptimes a little lower.
I'm running 7:14.xx with it now but I think I can shave of another second or 10 fiddling with the suspension settings and getting used to the car/track combo!

I just discovered the beauty of downforce in the process of tuning my Skyline Vspec N1's suspension and everything else. Noticed that it was good on other tracks, but at the ring, with the bumps and high speeds, I would need to hold the car down somehow. The difference is amazing. You may wanna try that for your Supra, and I hope the stock HP will be enough for you to compete against what they have in that race.
