TPC GT3 Monthly Endurance Events Season 2 - Race 2 December 14th Lago Maggiore - Spaces Available

Hi there. Is this league managed entirely here on gtplanet or is there also a discord?

We have a race team (4-10 drivers) that are looking for a new series within this time frame. Looks like this season is already full but we'd probably check out your next season?

Hi, thanks for your enquiry. All of the TPC events are formally managed via this forum.
I will message you directly regarding your group but if you guys/girls wish to do some racing with us in the mean time, we have a couple of other events available this Friday and Saturday.
Hope to see you there

Pre Race Notice

Hi all, I hope everyone is looking forward to race 1. The lobby will open a little before the hour and Qualifying will start at 10pm uk time, which is just under 7 1/2 hours from now. Just a few last minute things:

  • Don’t forget to double check your bop settings and give your cars a fresh oil change.
  • Track limits are 2 wheels on the red/white curbing. Driving 4 wheels beyond track limits and will require a short lift to nullify any advantage gained.
  • Please remember to obey flags and pit exit/entry lines.
  • If we have any rain the pit lane may remain wet the entire race. Be aware of this if exiting the pits with slick tyres.
  • We are completing 1 formation lap for the race start and I would like to carry on with paired up starts. Please pair up entering the final corner, the leader can start the race at any point after the pit entry.
  • “Safety Cars tend to breed more Safety Cars” so for Safety Car restarts we will remain in single file and the leader can restart the race at any point from the final corner.
  • Qualifying will be 5 minutes and have randomised weather

Most of all have fun and enjoy the event

To save any confusion for the formation lap. The leader can “go” at any point after the green line.

Thanks for race everyone. Hopefully you all enjoyed it, it looks like everyone had plenty going on with the weather shifts and different strategies playing out.
P4 qually and a P5 finish might be my best result of the season but we’ll see how we go, I was very fortunate how things played out. I spent most of my race chasing @Michelin Man but I had some small battles with a few of you throughout the race.
Thanks everyone for the clean racing and extra effort making the events run smoothly, I will aim to have results and points confirmed next weekend for those interested. If anyone wants me to take a look at an incident please let me know privately by Thursday.
The next race at Maggiore will be dry, and I will confirm the multipliers and post a more detailed weather forecast next week.

Track Limits for Maggiore can be debatable so hopefully this should clear up any questions.

As usual, only 2 wheels are required to be on track to remain legal.

Painted red and white curbs are usable.

Grey concrete is unusable

Where there is double red and white curbing, the joining line is the track limit.

T1 double curbing

IMG_9447.jpeg

Entry to T2 is extended to open up the entry creating a more fluid racing line into T3 and invite closer racing.
(Beware there is a large bump out there)

IMG_9448.jpeg

Exit of T3 double curbing. (This can be a tricky one, turning in late for T2 reduces the risk of running wide here)

Esses painted curbs

Esses painted curb with concrete.

IMG_9451.jpeg

The exit of the esses is extended to give more space for racing at high speeds

IMG_9452.jpeg

Big Banky Boy painted curb with concrete

IMG_9453.jpeg

T12 concrete is unusable

IMG_9454.jpeg

T14 red and white painted curbs with concrete

IMG_9455.jpeg

Final corner with double curbing

Final corner exit is extended to reduce the need to overly cut the entry.
