This is a quote from Alexi in post #1 of the main thread.

Here at TCR, we are committed to providing you with the highest quality racing the online world has to offer and endeavour to constantly improve and refine our format in order to achieve this excellence.

Also about track etiquette.

Here at TCR we are proud to be known for good racing etiquette and clean driving, so here are a couple of pointers I would like to bring to the attention of all our members.

This is fun and entertainment, not a serious competition. Obviously we want you guys to be as competitive as possible, but not at the cost of the enjoyment of others.

If you start a race, try not to exit if you have a mishap part way round. Please pick yourself up and finish the remaining laps, you never know what can happen!

If you go off for any reason, watch the map for other cars behind you. Then rejoin the track without causing another driver to move off line or brake.
You might be able to join straight away or you may have to wait for 3 or 4 to go past, but whatever you do, please give respect to the other drivers.

If you have a coming together with anyone on track, whether you're in first place or last, please use your manners and make sure the other driver is stable or not left spinning while you drive off into the sunset.

Yes we know the phone may go or the doorbell ring, dog needs a pee, a simple sorry guys phone rang will do.

Don't just exit the race because you can't finish in the top 3, very bad manners towards your fellow members.

Fat and Loud

At last, we're back!
After such a long break from flexing our muscles on the track, we seemed to have gained a few pounds.

With 500bhp carrying 1400kg on sports soft tyres, our new event is one that will certainly keep you on your toes. After only a few laps you've had the best of your tyres, so the Jensons amongst will be able to keep those lap times low. We'll be starting with some 10 lap races which don't need a pit stop, but we'll crank up the race length as and when people want to.

We'll be testing tonight from 9, so will post the room number soon.

Evooooooh

Now the cobwebs have been blown away, we've gone for something a little more frisky. It's the first 4 wheel drive we've chosen and it can be a little tricky to get used to the handling characteristics, but it has proven to be great fun and awesome for close racing. During testing we had the top 5 within a 6th of a second.

Warning : There will be the odd bump when the racing is this close, but the Plato's amongst us will be told to sit on the naughty step (and that doesn't mean the podium) if they misbehave too much.

Caffeine Hit

Feeling drowsy? This cheeky little racer will wake up your senses for sure. It was inevitable that this car would feature in a TCR event as it's got great potential for close racing. It hasn't got much power, but it can still catch you out if you're too heavy on the loud pedal.

We've got something very special for you this week. The RUF RGT 00 is a very unique car with very unique handling. To me, it feels like a giant go kart that needs to be gently persuaded through the bends to get the best out of her (or him). See you on the track!

The TCR boys are back!

The TCR boys are back!

After an extended hiatus, we've finally got our act together to once again produce great race tracks and racing.

The world has changed a lot since we last raced, regimes have fallen, the recession has deepened, Steve Jobs died and hover boards have finally hit the shops. Oh wait, or am I thinking of Back to the Future?

Anyway, we've got a great set-up to get us started tonight. It's using a car that everyone should have to make it easier to join.

Straight out the BOX

This week we'll be keeping it real with stock cars. Inspired by the shuffle option, people have requested a stock car event. The fact you can prohibit tuning now, means this is possible. However, down tuning is allowed as this can't be policed. Initially we were going to allow on 25pp of down tuning, but this is also difficult to police, so go wild guys and use anything you can get down to 434pp, as long as it's not a race car. See list below.

We hope to see plenty of variation out there, but as always there will be a car(s) that shines. Those of you who tested will have a good idea of what the best cars are, but a couple of these might be in the list below, so please check.

See you guys on track!

Small and MIGHTY

Well lets see, what happened in 1996?
Bill Clinton re-elected as President of USA.
M.C. Hammer files for bankruptcy. How did I miss this? I would have started a charity had I of known.
Dolly the Sheep(s) is cloned/born.
Carl Sagan dies, very sad and a massive loss for geeks.
and this little beast went on sale…

DTM - Demanding Tyre Management

As most of you already know, tyre wear has increased somewhat since the new update and although racing tyres will be available for your German Touring Car, the heavy braking points in Jon's new track is sure to challenge your tyre management and concentration.

For a 5 lap race, the best option is Soft, but 10 laps and more could mean the Medium and Hard would be the tyre of choice. We'll be running a range of race lengths to keep you on your toes as sheer pace alone will not be enough for victory in this event.

So here it is for one night only Wednesday 25th

A late change to the details its ok to use any colour if you wish.

picture.php
picture.php

TCR @ GT-Park E-Type & 300SL coupe.
Track designed by turbonato

This track set in the rolling hills is prone to the rogue downpour, race was postponed due to the heavens opening up at mid day, there could be still a fair bit of standing water and I would not rule out another sudden downpour during the race, hopefully not enough to bring out the yellow flags..

The weather could clear up for some good classic racing with warm sunshine, but be warned its notorious here for rain, it could come back at anytime.

Come armed with Sport Soft’s & Intermediates or wets Only.

It could be very unpredictable here in the hills, so you’ll have to talk to your pit crew about tyre choice

Please do not use RH, RM, RS tyres

Wednesday fun & relaxation (requested event)

Two cars Full Tune no Aero / Turbo

E-type 361hp – 1038kg – 495pp (use engine power limiter)
300SL 378hp - 1077kg - 492pp

Historic Race day using the

Black E-type Jag ’61 but as that may be hard to come by White Merc 300SL Coupe ‘54

Gentleman or Playboy?

Park your roadster and find yourself a track day car that weighs in at 1350kg and has 400bhp. Typically this type of car would be found at track days for the filthy rich, so are you a Gentleman or a Playboy?

Here's the track we'll be using, it's a peach created by Dave (jon's brother), so I guess track building is in their genes.

Plus, we'll be having a special event on Wednesday with some classic cars. You can use the E-Type or 300SL and bring a brolly! More details posted soon.

BOX, STOCK AND 2 SMOKING EXHAUSTS

Here's a picture of my karting buddies at Brands Hatch, doing what we all wish we could do. The Integra was quickest apparently, but I think that's more down to the fact the others were in RWD cars and were scarred of sticking it in the barrier.

TCR Wednesday fun night is Shuffling the pack this week

Just for Wednesday fun night only
Track to be confirmed

As I’ve not seen any feedback with regards the Wednesday track (shared) for the Spitfire combo for this week fun night.

I’m going to use whatever track is decided on for the main weekly event, but this Wednesday will be a shuffle night.

I’ve tested the runners (Tracks) on offer for this week this morning and, it should give good entertainment for a fun night on any of them, more a test of your driving skills than who can go the fastest.👍

It seemed to me that the tracks took on a whole new feel with the changing cars and tyre mix, what you could get away with in one combo, you couldn’t in the next.:scared:

Driving into the sunset

As most of you know, TCR will be taking a break after this fortnights combo. I can honestly say that it actually makes me feel quite sad :(, but sometimes a mans got do to what a mans got to do or in other words "a mans got to do what a man is told by his wife". Only joking, my wife had nothing to do with this, although I wouldn't blame her if she did.

We recommend using the Zonda, but as this is a standard car, we're having to open it up to any stock car that meets the weight and hp allowance. I haven't got one myself, but I'm hoping that Jon will give me one…ooh er misses. I haven't even used the track yet, but Jon was raving about it, so it has to be a goodie.

This is a very easy combo as it’s a new track; the Alfa makes it even easier.

Stock car with oil change as it comes from the dealership.

If you’ve not got this car already, run over to the Online Collector’s Dealership right now.

Get in quick before PD updates the listings again.

I’ve shared this very easy track so you can download it, you’ll see it’s very easy and very fast, a lap is just over the minute, or maybe under if your quick.

Big thanks to Cobani for the use of the photo

Bit of a contrast this week from last week

Track is shared.

This week is a requested race event, one that we tested some weeks ago and for a FF fitted with all the bells and whistles is quite good fun.

The cars stats should be around the 236bhp - 849Kg - 466pp (with full tune + aero)

We can fine tune this in the open lobby on race night.

Maybe someone has a nice picture I could use for this post.

TCR Endurance
As the core of TCR is the very finest of created tracks, this endurance race will be run on
a created track by one of our members. We will race a predetermined (easily available) car
with no tuning allowed, so that nobody will be on track with a superior set-up.
All our attention can therefore go to the track and tyre strategy.
Each driver must do two compulsory pit stops with the tyre regulations of F1 in mind:

- If it’s a dry race: Use RH and SS with at least two pit stops.
- If the race is part wet/dry: Use Inters and/or Wets and RH and/or SS with at least two pit stops.
- If the race is wet all the way: Use Inters and/or Wets with at least two pit stops.
