Welcome to the journies of your favorite or worse track days explanied through the passion of photography! This thread will be dedicated to those who love buying new cars, tunning them up, and giving them a good ol' shakedown on their favorite tracks, then taking pictures afterwards. You can show off your greatest creations and show how they came to be right here!
But first, a few thread rules that I ask you follow:
1. Max photo size: 1024x576 (flickr large)
1a. Try your best to keep at or under seven pictures per post as to not clutter up the thread.
1b. For longer tracks (such as Nür and Sarthe, I'll allow up to 15 photos)
1c. Use the
[/CENTER*] codes to write your stories so everything looks somewhat uniform.

2. DO NOT ramble on about how much better your car is than other peoples cars; this is not a thread for attacking other people.
2a. YOU MAY talk about how much better your car is as compared to another one of YOUR OWN tuned cars or a stock car of some form.

3. Have fun with this, and I hope this will have a good turn-out since I think it's fun to share stories about something were all passionate about: Cars and Photography
3a. If quoting someone with pictures, please remove the codes. We've already seen the picture.

Mazda RX7 Spirit-R | Nürburgring Attack

I just bought my Spirit-R and from the get go, I knew what I wanted to do with it: turn it into a Nürburgring racer. It's still a work in progress as i need more money to tune it, but I took it out for some shakedown laps to check it's progress, and boy was I in for a suprise...

It was about 6:00 in the morning, and the track was just starting to open up. I had only paid for one lap, so I had to make it count. My team and I checked to make sure we had enough fuel to do one lap and then enough to make it back to the pit area (in an attempt to save weight). Filled up the tires to a good spec, checked wing angle, and set off for the track.

Even after the first few corners, it was evident that we had a serious car under my rump. Hearing that full-titanium exhaust and the unmistakable rotary redline, my adrenalin was at peak. The steering was so quick, the dual-clutch tranny shifted so fast and with barely any clutch movement, the car was just stapled to mother earth.

Coming out of some of the esses onto the first "straight" the car just screamed through each gear, reaching a respectable 140mph before having to break for the kink at the top of the hill, of which the car became a little squrilly but still felt stable enough to press on.

Now this is where this track/car combination became interesting; coming into the breaking zone just after the down-then-back-up-again-all-while-corning straight... The front splitter and the large rear-wing were pushing hard on the car as I was trying to break hard enough while coming over a multi-crest corning complex heading into the left-right just ahead.

I didn't have another photographer until the Caraccoita-Karussell, but the adventure there was business as usual.

My last photographer was stationed at the end of Wipperman and I'll tell you what... This car on my favorite section of the Nordschleife was a match made in hevan. The car just accelerated, braked, turned, and just went at increadible speeds that I just haven't felt in any other modified street-car.

More to come on this car but for today this is all I have. Hope you enjoy it.

Stunning photography and a great story GlobeKIDD!
Here is my old FD chaste white rx7 for comparison:

By the way, just correcting something in your story, I've been 155mph in my rx7 and it felt very planted and solid. Dare I say even more so than at slower speeds!

Thats really good, it makes me wanna drive at the nurburgring at sunrise just for the hell of it

I'll give it a bang later

Update coming *tomorow*... Trying to gold more of the AMG Academy then i'll be able to afford more for the Rex. Though i won't be at the Nürb today, decided to go for Cape ring for some agility tests.
