GTPlanet, look to the past and think about any tracks from the past that would or should be restored. I'll start.

I heard that Riverside was long gone (look at "Looking Back: Riverside" to perhaps learn more). Anyhow, I would like to see this track come back or at least be made in a new location if Riverside is completely urbanized. If not, I'd like to learn more about the historical track in America and invite road racers to Riverside. To be more modern, it would have to look like Barber Motorsports Park. That track looks like crossing a golf course and a race track. Only thing is, you won't see Tiger Woods try to knock off Phil Mickelson or Vijay Singh, or Hawaiian golfer Michelle Wie continually make an impression.

Some oval racing fans want to see North Wilkesboro brought back, but since I'm not a serious NASCAR fan, don't care. But of course, help yourself.

If you think there are some discontinued tracks that you think should be brought back to life. And by the way, these events can even include races on city streets. So if you had the oppurtunity to bring back an old race track and bring new life to it, what would it be? Reply away.

Adelaide international raceway should get restored. As a matter of fact. I think it is. Vellelunga is being extended. But that doesn't count as restored. I can't think of any others.

It's not a discontinued track but I think Hockenheim should be put back the way it was. That long straight throught the forest was fantastic.

The original Monza track with it's enourmous banked Parabolica curve through the forest... :indiff:

[edit:] Speaking of which, The more I look at the Monza construction Page, the more I wish that it would be in GT4... Imagine doing 250Km/h on that curve.... [/edit]

Theres a track about 1-1.5 hours away from me called Lakeside. Its a real drivers track. the ATCC/V8Supercars used to race there until Queensland raceway or "the paperclip" was built. but now, unless someone buys it, its likely to become a housing estate. the only complaint i got against lakeside is that its a ***** to get to. but i hope someone will do it up and return it to its original glory

Ever heard of Brooksland? Take a look at these two websites:

http://www.angelfire.com/rings/brooklands/index.html, http://www.angelfire.com/rings/brooklands/images/plan3.jpg

As the first site above indicates, this British track is told to be the birthplace of racing in Great Britain. The story told was that with Monza, Italy almost being destroyed in World War 2, Monza was revived. An Englishman petitioned to keep the curves from the Monza oval, and the curves are still there. The person who pioneered this campaign is hellbent on making this deal work. He's set up a petition to DaimlerChrysler to perhaps make use once again of Brooklands. He proposes to make a brand-new track to put Brooklands back into business.

Do you think Brooksland should be restored despite the points the Englishman made in one of the websites?

I believe that most of where the original Brooklands circuit lies is now under an industrial estate. The banking still survives, and is often used in photo-shoots.
