I have thought for so long of why the one trade restriction was made and now the answer has become evident. As more people have come to own the game and everyone is sending several cars, their server is unable to withstand the load. Either that, or they are being attacked by Wikileaks!

I have been reading of several people losing cars into cyberspace do to these issues. Due to this as well as the birthday exploits, we might be seeing several major changes to the Gift feature in Gran Turismo. I would encourage everyone to cut back or possibly send no more than 1 car per day until everyone finds out more info. I was joking about Wikileaks.

*JUST SPECULATION*

Well, if PD servers cant handle this, its to bad. In forza 3 you could send what ever you wanted and with no restrictions. 1 car per day is verry silly, and you don't send the intire car really, just a bit of code.

I've sent up to six cars in the space of a minute or two with no issues.
Could be just lucky I guess....

We've all been waiting for game. These server issues are common with any new game. Modern warfare 2, blackops..... Blablabla. This game is what? 2 weeks old? You think there's problems now? Wait until after Christmas, when EVERyONe has the game.

I am having problems with sending with the trick of mutiple cars a day. I can receive cars. I sent more cars over the past 1,5 days no problem. Tonight i sent two car TICKETS after sending muliple people cars from my garage and they didn't get them!!! I don't know if they will get them. So please be carefull. Ill add my post if i know more.

Update to my last post. The car finally got to the person i sent it to. It took more than a hour.

Coincidentally this starts happening once people started using the multiple cars/day exploit...

Yes, that's my main point. I'm trying to draw attention to the multiple car trades. I believe that Polyphony had planned for all players to be sending and receiving one car a day which would have been manageable for them. But multiple cars, and premium ones as well, are probably killing the server.

I will not bother to respond to an quips about Forza 3. The information sent through the servers for one of their cars is probably a small fraction of the size of information needed for a Premium model in Gran Turismo. Polyphony Digital probably did not cut costs when the bought their servers for Sony's new Flagship game. The server system for Forza would see irreparable damage after having to deal a load like the GT5 users have been demanding for the past few days. That's probably how Wikileaks attacked Mastercard and Amazon; they just sent them all of their premium models from Gran Turismo and crashed their servers...
