Just starting with my first Bob. B. Dumas

Is it better to train Bob with a car that will make him race hard to win each event, finishing 2nd or 3rd sometimes, or will he learn just as fast by horsepowering up and blowing the field away?

I started the Sunday Cup with a 138hp Miata and Bob was working his Dumas butt off to finish 2nd or 3rd. His hot head meater always toward the top as he battled. I then switched to a 240 hp 4wd Impreza and Bob walked away with every race, but always cool headed. Even when I told him to push it he just said unkay and still drove pretty conservatively.

So, does Bob learn any more when he has to battle or is it just about wins and losses?

It's all about getting XP and leveling him up. Once they're at about lvl 20, they stop monkeying around. Also make sure to get a driver who has the different skill bars as long as possible from the start, and different skills roughly even. So don't get a driver who has a speed bar of -------- but a braking skill bar of -.

Haven't noticed it mattering in any way if you start him out at the lower level and make him work hard, or put him first in an extreme level race with an unmatched car.

One of my Bobs had won 5/5 extreme races with the fastest car, and one had worked all the way from the lower level races with slower cars, sometimes losing, driving close to 50 races, winning maybe 20. Both were at level 25 or something, and there is no difference in their driving.

As vakie-81 says. Just level Bob up fast and he destroys.
Find neutral bob with

on the stat bars. He'll do just fine.
Got 5 bobs over lvl 30. Main bob 33.
He smoked the competition in the FORMULA GRAN TURISMO tournment (extreme) b-spec 2 hours ago.

Depends how seriously you wan't to take the Game .

Option A - The bad guys Bob races will have faster Cars if you use the Same Model 👎 so it's spend , spend , spend cr to Tune a crap car you may never again use to beat them with :grumpy:

Option B - Buy a Car you'll enjoy Driving after B-Spec is done with .

Car needs to be at least 20% better than the Opponents .

All B-Spec Races are Tyre Restricted so allways look at the Tyre Regs for each race and make sure you have them on Bob's Car .

Apart from that Early Races usually require 1) Paitence (yours not Bob's ) 2) The relative easy understanding of what the Button Commands do . 3) Deaf Neighbiurs otherwise your current ones will soon get fed up of you Cursing and swearing at Bob

Its not a difficult task at all just requires common sense .

Bob's love 4WD Cars though 👍

How do you guys train for exp?

I have a bob that I trained via endurance race, he's had 30 races now and his exp bar has not grown at all.

on the point on training bobs, whats the best way to level up new bobs. currently im on level 11 b spec mode. one of my bobs already is on level 10. whats the fastesst way aside from grinding races to get my other bobs up to pace. thanks guys! :)

Hi all, just been doing some Bob power leveling today. Don't know if it's common knowledge but if you use 2 Bobs in a race (like the Extreme Series European Championship), BOTH get full XP - used that level some new Bobs (with a bit of babysitting).

Hope this helps :)

I actually had a B. Dumas, but I got rid of him! Yea, he was definitely a "Bob Dumas". That's why I hired him...he was an actual "Bob". Problem was, he wound up being a terrible driver. Disobeyed me half the time (in the Sundays, mind you) and was jsut frustrating the hell out of me.

The advantages with using overkill horsepower is the B-spec side of the game goes by quicker, and it also guarantees more initial wins.

But over the long run, I personally think it's better to train B-spec drivers with less power, simply because as they level up, they wind up being able to corner with less loss of strength. This takes more time, obviously, and more races, and more losses, but I don't mind. I like doing other stuff (like making this post right now) while my B-spec drivers get trained up.

So if you've got a Class 4 or 5 driver in the FF Challenge, for instance, he or she is gonna wind up keeping more strength thru all those turns that a 0-1 class driver would lose. The more success they have in this area keeps them from screwing up.

138 is a bit low for the Sunday Cup. I've been using about 150-160 with that sort of weight, but it's all good.
