So, for those of you who know how I post tunes, I have a question.

My transmission advice is fairly basic and I kind of want to help you guys understand it a bit better especially with cars that launch in 2nd gear and where about it should be.

My solution to this, a picture. It will be a picture of the transmission with NO LINES from my setup BUT will have a Dot or some representation of the approximation of the line. I will make an example soon.

Let me know what you think.

After tuning for months I have an idea on what this means, but to someone new this concept would be difficult. Maybe a lowest point dot for each bar would be more effective. Unfortunately that might be making it too easy. I think your transmission details before were easily sufficient.

But that's just me, I read my bars from the bottom in transmission

Yea, a dot for the bottom of the line would be to easy, and a dot at the top of the line or where it lands close too would be simple. All the criticism helps.

Mainly why I would want to do this is cars that launch in 2nd or a higher gear I can show where 2nd should be so you don't bog/over rev. Or for AWD cars that need 1st gear shorter even with a flipped transmission.

I think how you have it now is best. It gives the user room to try to find the sweet spot on their own without giving holding their hand too much. I think how you release tunes is a good way for a new drag racer to learn to tune on their own. You give them an excellent base to build on and leave room for them to find the best settings from there. It encourages them to tune for themselves. I think alot of other base tunes end up being used as they are with no adjustments when there is obviously room for improvement. Instead of them being a tool for others they end up as being crutches to those who refuse to learn. Keep up the good work.👍

I agree with Kenny, the way you do it on the other thread is more engaging to the new fellow racers ot makes them work for what they want and it doesn't give them the chance of trashing you if that tune that they copied turns out slower than what they expected.
