My family is thinking about bying one, and I was wondering if anyone on GTP has one or could recommend a good one to buy for a reasonable price (as far as treadmills go...). Also, could anyone give a link to a good website that would review treadmills or other fitness equipment?
We have a treadmill, but I hardly ever use it. I get dizzy if I stay on it too long. Just go jog around the neighborhood or find a local high school and use their track like I do. 👍
Heh, my high school doesn't have a track, just a big field that can get awfully muddy in places. And besides, running is not a good option between November and April in Toronto, so I need a treadmill for the winter since it is too cold to run outside.
Treadmills are great you can do you exercise without getting dirty. Go to the gym rather that doing it at home i say, and check out the girls while your running highly motivational i find? lol
16 days later..... Don't mind me, this part of the forum needs a little more attention.
We just bought a proform 545s. I like it, you can adjust the incline up to 10 inches. The speeds are from .5mph to 10mph. I am going to be jogging 5mph for 3 miles a day, before breakfast. I hear that you burn calories a lot faster if you jog before you even eat to start out the day.
Anyone else seen this machine? It's really big, but we store it out of the way. It's a ***** to move back and forth, so in a plus way, that's a workout of it's own, lol.
Walking is really good, i've been trying 3 to 5 miles a day around my town. So far i've lost 50 lbs, and i'm looking to get rid of a lot more. 👍
I've been running for a good 6 months but I stopped for maybe 3 or 4 days and now everytime I get on the damn thing I last aobut 15 mins before I get serious stomach cramps. 👎 I wish I never stopped now it'll probably be a while before I can get back into the routine. I'm only running for general fitness and slow weight loss, not competition. I used to be like 210 lbs and now I'm down to about 165-170 so I'm not really trying that hard to lsee anymore, I'm just happy I'm not a fat ass anymore. Being fat doesnt suck, it just the morning I woke up and realized I wasnt what I wanted to be, then working my ass off and not seeing any results that sucks. The only thing I regret is not taking any before pictures.
