So, Trial Mountain Remote Racing.... fairly predictable?

The Nardo almost always wins.
The V8 Vantage almost always comes last (I guess someone has to come last).
The rest of the placings are more random?

What do you think?
Have you noticed any thing similar on the other tracks?

You can say the same about the Tokyo race.

See my Bspec Rubbish driving story, shows just how bad that Vantage is.

Yeah, seems so. Some of the Trial Mountain races can be quite entertaining to watch though. The other day saw a race where the Cizeta V16T crashed, and finished 3 laps behind everyone. So the Vantage wasn't last that time! :)

Also the race yesterday with some of your drivers was quite fun. Here are some shots of your F.Eaton (38) driving the Lamborghini Gallardo:

F.Eaton 15th at the start

Passing V.Stark (Chevrolet Corvette Z06) for 14th. A.Griffin follows in 16th with the Volkswagen W12 Nardo.

Overtaking W.West (Dodge Viper) and H.Reeves (Aston Martin V8 Vantage) for 12th.

Passing H.Becker (Ferrari 430 Scuderia) for 11th.

...and H.Kovanen (Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro) for 10th.

The last corner of the first lap doesn't go according to plan!

(to be continued...)

Not true really. About 7 cars have a chance for the win, including the Nardo. The only issue is the Vantage is a moving chicane the entire race.

F.Eaton survives the last corner incident, but H.Kovanen takes back the position. Both pass M.Ishihara (RUF CTR2). Eaton tries to fight Kovanen for 9th place, and on the 2nd lap something happens in the last corner again..

F.Eaton picks an interesting line into the corner...

...and is launched into the air!

I've run the Tokyo race a bunch and don't think I've seen the Naro lose that one yet.

I do agree that Vantage does not belong with the other cars.

Nice landing! Everyone except the Vantage manage to get by, and Eaton is down to 15th again.

"Just a flesh wound."

Back to work!

Overtaking H.Stewart (McLaren MP4-12C) for 9th! Madness!

Overtaking I.Madden (Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG) for 8th.

Fighting N.Hester (Cizeta V16T).

Finally, on lap 11, overtaking F.Black (GT by Citroën Road Car) for 6th. F.Bolton up ahead with the Lexus LFA was too fast.

A.Griffin won with the Nardo. :P

Hi-res versions of the photos here.

See, when you train a female driver, you train her not only to right herself when she rolls, but also to finish looking at a lovely pink Lexus !!!
Now that's skill ;)

Thanks vakie

To almost completely prove myself wrong;

  • The Nardo wasn't even in a Trial Mountain race I just ran.
  • An audi R8 5.2 FSI won.
  • But.. the V8 Vantage still came last!!
I wonder if I broke the Nardo?! In the previous race, I rolled it on the last bend and let everyone pass me. I'm so generous. :ill:

Everytime I see it I have to ask myself if the driver is still alive. I don't know what suspension setting its using but I'm pretty sure that they also fit it to my mountain bike.

The Vantage is driving with his emergency brake on. Aston Martin forgot to send its A+ driver in the DB6 and this is what happens.

What business does that Vantage have being in that race. Seriously.
I've had races where the Vantage was 22 seconds behind second-to-last place.

Either that or it's a idling in automatic with a 6 year old driving who can't reach the accelerator.

Perhaps thefasterstig is correct and it is indeed that guy in his avatar.

Just like the X2010 can make anyone a pro, the Vantage can make anyone a poor driver.

I've run the Tokyo race a bunch and don't think I've seen the Naro lose that one yet.

I had a VW Nardo driver (lv24) came second to a Ruf driver (lv38) by just .044 yesterday.

The Nardo doesn't finish in anything other than first very often. But it does happen.

That car is just ludicrous. Get it on the Nurburgring and put it on cockpit view, my eyes can't keep up with Bobs hands!.. That is until he stacks it at 250mph right into the rear end of some chav in an R32 !

Wait, wait. I got it. The driver has transformed into Kevin Conway! That's the reason it always is 15-20 MPH off the pace.

Hmm...

Germany has the RUF and the VeeDub.
The US has the Corvette.
Even France gets the woefully ugly GT Racer.
And representing Britain is... The Vantage!!

All the grip of a discarded mattress harnessing the pace at which the US continent drifted away from Europe!
