Trouble Signing to PSN

Hello, I'm having issues signing in to PSN. It's been like this for hours now. I thought it was just a temporary issue.

My router is fine. My PS3 wireless network is fine as I could still surf using my PS3 browser.

Does anybody know if there's some sort of maintenance or something? Need help, I'm dying over here. LOL.

Thanks!!!

It's your PS3's way of saying:

"Hahahaha, no."

Signing in is one thing,

since the beginning I have problems to even keep a steady connection while being a host. So that´s why I seldomly am one :(

Exit out of GT5. Sign in to the PSN, and it will prompt you to agree to the EULA.....so agree to it, then sign in and it will let you sign in this time. Then you are fixed....

for the other error DNS code you sometimes receive, simply reboot your modem/router and that normally does the trick.

PlayStation, or well Sony has just recently moved the servers for PlayStation Network. They moved them to California just recently on Friday? That is why you had to accept the new terms of agreement. Anyhow maybe they are having difficulties with the servers?

That's the thing, when I tried to sign in to PSN it won't let me. I also rebooted my modem/router. I know there's not a problem with my router because I can visit websites through my PS3 browser. So this all comes down to the PSN. I do hope that it's a server issue.

But then again, if other people from Los Angeles could sign in to PSN, why couldn't I?

Here's two things you can try:

Disable media connection: not sure what this does but a year ago I had trouble signing in to play mw2 and I turned this off and it worked fine.

Mess with DNS numbers (error code: 80710092) Look online and see what other people said about trouble signing in. I used this to help me sign in a few months ago. After a while though I just reset the DNS and used my original numbers that I had before and havnt had a problem ever since (knock on wood). This is the best bet I have for you. This has to be a temporary malfuntion/problem.

We've been having the same problem since after around 6:00 est, I was watching Top Gear on Netflix, paused to go eat dinner; after dinner the wife wanted to watch 60 Minutes, then at 8:00 I was teaching her how $%^ easy it is to log into PS3 and now I look like a fool as she sits here rolling her eyes an calling me a geek.

So, no, I have no access to PSnetwork; I keep getting 80710092 error.
We are in Ohio, by the way. I did see the following:

having the same problem as well

i would think if there is an update or something there would be a message of some sort

+1

I wonder if they are having to move massive quantities of data, etc., from servers on the Japanese mainland to other places, in light of the current mayhem over there, and that is causing the trouble? From all the reports I hear, the situation at the nuclear plants is getting worse, not better. If that is the case I can definitely forgive them for not having PS3 Network up for a few days! Let's cross our fingers and keep them in our thoughts.

Really? Just go to sign in and the new UA should pop up... How are you guys struggling with this?

I signed the new UA when it first popped up, and everything went fine for a day or so. This morning it won't let me sign in.... it fails with an ID 2.0 whatever that means.... other computers etc. are working just fine. Anyone know what ID 2.0 (in GT5) means?

I'm having the same problems (in the USA). I signed that agreement the other day.., and everything was ok after that.., but I cannot connect to PSN at all today.

My internet connection is fine.., all computers running well.., PS3 shows the connection is good.., but my system will not log into the PSN. Was there a more recent agreement released within the last 24 hours? If so.., I didn't get any notice of it on my PS3.

They have had issues with certain ISPs in the last 24 hours. It has nothing to do with the new TOS or the situation in Japan.

**Update**

I just finally got through to the PSN. I've been unable to get in for several hours.., and now it's letting me in.

Perhaps they're doing some work on the system.

Update: I totally gave up on it yesterday. So I just went out of the house. Came back around 11pm PST. It signed in just fine. I did get a call from my friend that it was an ISP issue. Just like what GTPorsche have mentioned. I'm not sure how it's relevant to the ISP though. He said it was from ATT/SBCGlobal users.

Everything works fine for me now.

Thanks everyone for the replies!

I'm back on.
A friend of mine in Columbus says his is down still and has been since Friday evening. He has a cable modem (not sure which company).
