An incredibly innovative product, & a much cheaper alternative to an actual load cell.

Clever how it shortens the travel so much but being pot based, I'm going to keep looking for reviews before I take the plunge on one. Hopefully it's not aimed at PC sims where you can dial your max brake in.

I have one installed, it feels like a proper brake pedal and you have to use a lot of force. I could not get it to 100% braking force on the Xbox though. You have to adjust inside each game to get your max braking force. Unlike PC where you can do it in the game controller settings.

Are you the guy in the video? You look very similar.

Hearing about your Xbox problem doesn't sound too good for the PS4 either then. I'm tempted to take a punt on it for boredom's sake and if it's the same, I'll sell it on to a PC gamer.

Thanks for letting me know about it.👍

No not me, Karl's is a good informative channel though!. I would deffo recommend, it's an easy mod to install. To adjustments (Formula or GT, I went for the Formula, but would recommend starting with the Gt style which has a bit more travel). It's not a load cell, but for £50 it's far better than the Logitech pedals and my times are quicker as it's more consistent.

When I was searching to see if there was an alternative to the Richmotech load cell, one of his earlier videos popped up as AXC were claiming their offering was a load cell and he got them to correct it. I subscribed after seeing both.

This will be my 3rd mod chasing a stiffer brake (GTEYE and double pedal plate installed now) and just noticed it's down to £44.99 now. Time to get it ordered.

Thanks for the help, mate.👍

Will this suffer the recalibration problems in GT Sport ?

If I understand it correctly GTS occasionally re-calibrates as you play, if you happen to brake very hard whilst this happens it re-calibrates to that, meaning that you then have to push the pedal harder to get the same amount of braking. Did I get that right ?

Waiting to see what happens with next gen consoles and wheels before I do anything, for now I run the clutch spring in the brake pedal of my G29 pedals, its better but doesn't feel even remotely like a real pedal.

I don't know tbh. I've never played GTS. If you can't calibrate the brake in the console home menu, then if this is an issue with GTS then yes, you won't get full braking power. (It maybe different on PS4/5, but you can't on Xbox)

Nah, the only setting in GTS is which wheel you use, no other settings than that.

Like I say once we know about next gen compatibility I may upgrade the wheel (if I am using it enough) or just try and improve things a bit on a lower budget, but if it screws around in GTS there isn't much point... at least with the upgtrade path I could look for something that lets you configure/calibrate the hardware independently (like the new thrustmaster pedals).

That's the reason I never pulled the trigger on the Richmotech kit but with this being potentiometer based, it might get around that problem with its limited travel.

Going to wait a couple of weeks while they clear the backlog and grab one then. I'll let you know how it goes.

Just looked at the price again and it's back at £53.99. £44.99 was minus the 20% UK VAT on top so they must be tinkering with the site.

Interested in this also I want to buy but need some info on how it feels with a wheel stand and separate chair combo as I don't have a full sim seat and no calibration is available in either assetto corsa on the xbox. Will I get full brake pressure or tip my chair?

If you skip to the end of that video, he's got it installed already but he's using ratchet straps to keep his chair in place.

The price is up to £59.99 now and for that amount, it will need to review really well...

The review is out now.

Edit: It reviewed really well but I'll need to wait for another write up that uses the wheel's non linear brake firmware instead of bypassing it with a linear Leo Bodnar adapter. ARGH!

I'll put in an order next week and try it...as long as the price doesn't increase any more as that will put it too close to the proven Ricmotech.

I will probably hold out for now as it's on back order anyway.

They look easy to put together so they should get through them quick. Ordering Monday so I hope so.

I only play GTS but if I can find my copy of AC, I'll give it a whirl and let you know how it goes.

@kilesa4568

Did you get it ?

I am thinking about getting this or GTeye, or MVH Studios Brake spring.

I have alot of trouble with the standard G29 Brake pedal, Maybe I could also just remove the rubber inside.

But I heard to many different opinions about these solutions. Also I only play on PS4. Co i cant use any other cables or something like that.

If you have it can you give a litle review. If posibel could you test it in other PS4 titles maybe ACC and Pcars2 also ?

Haven't ordered it yet due to a lack of funds after our fridge freezer died and needed replacing. Still getting it but it's been put back a month...possibly two months as I've just found out that I missed TLOU2 release.:dopey:

(I'm not working any more and don't like asking my missus. She growls...)

The brake's non linear curve is based on that rubber insert being in place so I wouldn't recommend it. It makes modulating any hard braking a real chore with the dead zone it introduces.

The GTEYE spring is a worthwhile upgrade though. I've had one installed for about a year and you can really feel the progression engineered into it but the same as above, it needs the rubber bung to work as intended.

Another option (if you don't use the clutch) is a double pedal plate with the original spring. Slightly heavier than stock (with the added clutch spring but it's lighter than GTEYE) the extra real estate makes it stupidly comfortable to use.

Saw another mod for the G29 last night that fixes a problem nobody ever mentions; floppy flappies.

It's on the list too.

Ok thanks for the reply.

I am so close to buying the MVH Studios Brake Spring. Its a bit cheaper for me than the GTEye, And I think they are similar.

Just dont know if its better to buy the True brake, its more expensive but maybe its a lot better. Just not sure about using it with PS4, because all this calibratino stuff its very limited what can be done on PS4.

Anything would be better than the stock spring so it's worth a try. The proven durability of the GTEYE spring and fast delivery from Oz is a good selling point though.

If you can hold off a month, I'll let you know how the truebrake goes around then? Buying TLOU2 on the 9th and assuming their (truebrake) backlog has cleared, I'll get the mod a couple of weeks later.

I have the magnet mod £15 arrived last week. I really like it. I ordered one that had two magnets per side and can be fitted with a spanner and Allen key. I set it up slightly forward to give the paddles a really short responsive feel.

I bought the spring from MVHStudios.

That will have to do for now. But still curious to hear more about this product.

I do think that I will upgrade to a better pedals and wheels once the new Console's come out, and I am also considering buying a real PC somewhere down in the future.

I love VR, So kinda also waiting until the VR technology becomes better. Then I will make a move to a PC rig :-)

They'll have a batch ready on September 14th so I've finally chucked a pre order in.

They've doubled up on the brake buffers too. You get 4 of them now.
