trueno s.s. race settings

been working on this for quite a bit, and have managed to make a very neutral handling trueno. I was wondering if there are any flaws you can see in the setup, mind you this is NOT for drift.

suggestions would be welcome

I noticed a problem with the front tires losing grip at higher speed turns, so i revised the suspension and downforce.

Ride height in the front was reduced to 110 mm.Front shock bound was reduced to 5. Front toe was increased to -1 while the rear was set back to zero.

I also increased the rear downforce to .33 as oppsed to the .29 it was previously at.

If you're having trouble with high-speed understeer, you probably want to reduce the rear downforce rather than increase it. Try reducing your front ride height even further to encourage air to flow over the car rather than under it, but I'm not a fan of slamming cars as low as they can go, so keep it up a little in front.

planning on it, the reasoning behind the increase in read downforce was "if i reduce the high speed turning ability of the car, less stress will be put on the front tires" now that i think about it... that is completely incorrect. I'll take your advice into mind and see what i can do, thanks.

yeah, how about i slap a set of sim tires on it while i'm at it?

well, anyways, i did a bit more work on the suspension and found out the problem. The suspension in the front was far too soft for a car with such a lightweight engine.

It still has the high speed understeer, but it actually comes in as an advantage now.

i probably hold the record for trueno S.S. on trial mountain......

heres a time for u guys 1:20:316

hea some tips
this is how i set my car to run

well see i have my cambers 0.0 (both) and toe 0 (both)

if u guy do know camber causes your tires to tilt and that and you lose traction......when u set ur suspension depending on what drive train u got its different. MR for instance, front must be softer than the rear. FR the front must be harder............if u guys do find if hard to turn perhaps u can drift the turn.......i know some people think driftings slow but...there are ways to perform drift without losing speed........to do this u need stiff suspension.....and good rebound and bound settings......u need your car to be stable also......(tip) traction control daminishes torch......its best to have traction control on 1........

now to perform quick drift........all u have to do is set down force on rear .36 and good suspension setting.......the thing that would matter the most is gears.......(tip) SET ALL GEARS SO IT ONLY DROPS TO 9 OR 8000 RPM'S ON THE TRUENO IF U WANT ITS MAX POTENTIAL..........THERES ALSO POWER SHIFTING.......THATS ALL I CAN SAY IF U GUYS WANNA KNOW MORE JUST ASK

PEACE OUTS
