I know I'm outdated in age - but want to share with you what the different feel of the G-force in a Ferrari 488GTB (720MN torque! ) in real life. Tried it out today at Silverstone - it was unbelievable! If you ever get a chance around Europe - sign in for a drive folks! You'll get an experience not to believe and you'll want to get RIGHT BACK to the GTS - racing again!! WOW :) . Cheers - it was great stuff!

Thats awesome, did you get a chance to really put your foot down or did the instructor limit you?
Has to be an amazing feeling! Were there any similarities to GTsport and your real life experience?
OGsoda - It was unreal and GREAT stuff! I knew Silverstone from GT6 racing which was very helpful of course but breaking points and wheel-over etc was completely different. Also how the breaks really work on that 488 was unbelievable! SO STRONG and the corner speeds - WOW! It was a total experience. I know I will sign up for future real track-days as in various cars! It was absolute worth every minute! :) . Cheers.
And yes ThePhantomAli - instructor did the first lap driving and then he gave me full freedom to try it all out and it was unreal! The acceleration feel giving it all in was seriously much stronger than when you take off in a normal jet plane!
What a day! Double Cheers all! :) . :cheers::cheers:

I was lucky enough experience a track day at the Bedford Autodrome in 2009; that's me posing as The Stig in my avatar next to a Clio Cup race car. Glad you had fun!

I did the Palmer Motorsports Experience about 12 years ago... brilliant day out. The Clio Cups were one of the highlights for me... hilarious fun on slicks on a cold, damp November morning :D

I once got the chance to drive a 458 Italia on a road course adjacent to Las Vegas Speedway. What surprised me the most was just how easy it was to drive these cars. It really felt not much different to a game like GTS. I obviously couldn’t and wouldn’t want to go near the limit as there was a instructor sitting beside me at all times and I didn’t have enough time to really get used to the car. But the acceleration on the straights was just insane.

Quite expensive but worth it if you ask me if not done not too often.

I'm not sure what this has to do with GT Sport (it's about a car and track that aren't available in the game), so I've moved it to the Cars in General section. 👍

That's why Palmer Motorsports is so good... if you have talent the instructors really push you and you can drive at/over the limit. The instructors have a brake and a brake release pedal, so they can cut in if you get it horribly wrong.

In the Clios, I was tipping it in on the brakes, getting massive turn in oversteer, and just jumping on the throttle to stop it spinning. The inside of the car was full of smoke and the instructor was still pushing me (whilst we both laughed our heads off) - not the quickest way round, but brilliant fun. In the Caterhams, I was on the lock stops most of the lap.

Even in the FPA's and Palmer Jags, you could drive the wheels off them.

Expensive at c.£800+vat, but a brilliant day out.

That’s good to know, I’m looking for something like that for her indoors to get me for my birthday :cheers:
