Trying to record TV

So heres what I want to do. I want to record what my TV screen shows (My ps3 playing GT6). currently, I only have a laptop that my school temporarily lent to me. Because of this fact, I'm not allowed to install any programs onto it.
What I'm looking for is a device that either directly record what the TV Screen show, or directly record what the PS3 is doing. The problem I'm having is is that I need a device that can store what It records on it, then can be plugged into a computer and have the video file copied off of it. (Much like moving files from a flashdrive to a desktop. I currently can't find anything online, but I feel like there has to be something out there.
Remember, I can't install any programs.

You cant do anything without software being installed.
Also the PS3 has HDCP on its HDMI which prevents you from doing just a copy.

I think this would be useful, I've read you can record without a computer, storing the data in an external SD card, that you can put in a computer and view everything you recorded in it.

It costs $150USD, and I think you'll need a bunch of cables.
