Tsukuba 9 Hour Endurance Race - AI does not pit

The Skuba 9 Hour is the last A-Spec race I haven't done before for obvious reasons (hundreds of laps around that racetrack does not sound like fun...at all.) However, I started it this past weekend. I decided to go with an Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo 6. I'm about 60 laps in and the AI have yet to pit. Has anyone else encountered this? I've pitted twice because of tyre wear, although I'd be out of petrol by now too. It also does not appear that the AI are losing grip despite the failure to pit. Strange.

On another note, I'm happy with my car choice, and the race isn't as boring as I thought it would be. There is another Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo 6 in the race that's pretty fast and the frequent traffic keeps it enjoyable trying to pass without touching anyone. (Just wish the AI had the same respect...)

Lastly, back to a previous gripe I had when running the 24 hour Nurb': I wish I could change my settings in the pit. It would be nice to play around with the toe, camber, gear lengths, etc., while running a long race.

Some of the AI will go 70 laps before pitting at Tsukuba, and most will go 60 laps, so you should start to see some of them pitting within a few laps.

What tires are you driving on, and do you have all tire grades available to switch to during the pit-stops?

Good luck!

Thanks for the quick response GTsail. I've been using Racing Soft, but will change to Racing Hard next pit. I started on Racing Soft just to get a feel for the track and the AI, knowing that I would be changing them out. Interesting that the AI lasts that long between pit stops.
