TT 37: 450pp @ Madrid City/ 550pp @ Toscana Reverse! Tunes In Post 1.

I managed gold on the Madrid trial with a modified Clio Phase 2. Didn't break much sweat doing it.

550PP Time Trial though...wow was that obnoxious or what. Toscana Reverse is a terrible track, I counted 7 points around the lap where I got screwed over at some point...a stock HPA R32 got the time somewhat easily but the track is a complete turd. 👎

Loving the rally event! took me six laps in my stock Subaru rally car. You have to be careful to not smash the bumper or time won't count. So damn fun!

I'm having tremendous fun batting a Renault Avantime around Madrid. Won't be troubling the leaderboard - 6.5 seconds off the top - but top 2,000 with a FWD Coupevan is nice :D

I had a go in the berlinette coupe first up, my basic driving and tuning skills are a long way off being able to tame that.

"Car" and "French" doesn't match in the same sentence.

Althought I had a go with the Megane and did good. What does PD have in mind making you use FF cars with Comfort Soft at a track like madrid? I don't know.

the Clio is a MR car and the 205 is the road version of the group B rally car!

Comfort Softs, I know what you mean way too much grip on this hot dry track... pah should be at least Mediums if not Comfort Hards.

The Rally was different getting Red times on what I felt was a pretty tame recce lap... Didn't quite understand why it was spitting the dummy at me... until I did a lap and watched the time... Aha the jump... Maybe the physics engine registers a bottomed out car as impact damage and DQ's it. Would be nice if the track had some cones on the apex to defind the track edge. ... Maybe some large stones... some tank traps even.

Indeed - there's no compulsion to use FWD cars. Just French ones. There's a whole bunch of MR Clio V6s, the MR Renault 5, the 4WD 205 t16 and the MR Hommell Berlinette.

I'm just waiting for someone to Power Limit a Veyron or Citroen GT by Citroen down to 450PP...

I gave my little peugeot 106 rallye a shot but even with the most neutral of suspension tunes it understeers horrifically on those comfort softs and it's usually one of my best handling cars. I thought it would be perfect for such a tight little track but it just doesn't have the engine on the straights either. Maybe the 206 S16 might be better but I doubt it can touch the clios and 205's. Still gotta give the R5 a shot. It should be pretty good, it's a group B road car after all too, just like the 205 is.

I golded the Madrid 450PP with a Renault Sport Megane '08.

I tried the hommel berlinette earlier, its a wild one but its faster in a straight line than the 205 turbo16 '85

I dont know the track very well i was getting high 1:39.xxx

well done privatejoker
I found that if i was going in a straight line it was great, as soon as i thought of turning it would understeer then back would loop around, fixed that with active steering and managed a 1.41 Then i changed to the clio, was a bit more forgiving.

Thanks for posting the set-up--got into the 37.4s in about 5 laps. :)

Still feels a bit too neutral for me so I'll give it another go with the front ride height up a bit and change the rear diff settings to give a bit more 'steer with the rear' :)

I didnt lighten the car (for more power) but might tweak with that as well.

"tune"

Hey, nice tune.
I thought it was quite hard to drive the first lap round - seemed to want to slide a bit more than my tune. But then after 3 laps I went about 7 tenths faster, now in 76th cheers.
I think there is still about half a second for me to find with your tune, but I'll save it for tomorrow.

Cheers

Anyone able to keep up with Yinato's straightaway speed?
What upgrades did you purchase(if any)?

Tried tweaking Borrowillows' tune but couldn't improve.
Nice tune - deffo recommend it.

I can't keep up either :( - hes taking 0.5secs on each split -
I thought it might where I didn't lighten the car or where I was using auto instead of manual-but it sounds like he's doing his alien stuff again :)

I used the same turbo as borrowillow and my cars running dirty so its making about 280ish-not sure exactly.

A guess would be adding ballast without having looked at the event so that power is not as limited. Probably wrong though if your setups are already at full ballast.

This TT on Toscana reminds me why I hate rally in GT5.

Second that. The rally cars don't seem to have a good feel, they slide around and the engine bogs. Spinning wheels and gravel aren't modelled well at all. This one at least seems to allow more offroad stuff without the red DQ times.

I had a 205 Turbo, intil I gave it to Yinato. Now I have to try to find another. Not really gonna focus on these as much as I used to.

Im running 136kg ballast, and only got 276bhp :(

I've tried none, and increments up to 200kg,
@ 200kg I can match his straight line speed, but hes cornering like its around 100kg ballast.

Maybe my tune sucks, or maybe i cant drive:ill:

Managed a 1:38.340 with no ABS and no other aids at Madrid. Good for 64th.:)

As i'll never trouble the top of the leaderboard, as usual i've been trying untuned stock cars that I think will give me a good challenge. The Renault 5 and Alpine A...whichever one the older is were good for silver, going to try a Peugeot 406 now. Is fun!

Dirt one was a pain. Took me about 15 laps without DQ'ing my time and finally managed to grab gold. Got like 4,000 something place versus my 20,000 spot on madrid. Guess i wasn't the only one who found it tough.

If it makes any sense i cant find the grip in the 205 i tried that tune that borowillow posted and sruggled with understeer. i only bested a 1:41,xxx with it which was nearly a full .900 off my 03 Lutecia's 1:40.2 and i feel that still has close to a .300 to find yet.

1:45.234 for 167th at Toscana with no ABS and no other aids. :)

Anyone have a tune for the Evo Super Rally Car? I have no idea how to tune for dirt.
