3:01.507 at Cape Ring and 1:58.039 with no suspension or LSD tuning and only doing about 3 laps on each track for tonight :)

I am proud to announce I was in 3rd place after my first lap, I was driving a LFA and didn't even make gold on it. By my 2nd lap I was in 10th then 13th. Tried some other cars, half of which I couldn't use, before checking what the winners were using, the Suzuki.
By then my position was nearly 200 but using the GSX brought me down to 48 after a few laps after which I left it.
I expect I'll be well up in the hundreds, if not thousands when I try again. I was still well off the pace, 3:05 I think.
Waiting or someone to post a good tune for it here.

Isnt the GSX , MR ?

Never mind i guess it aint..
[/QUOTE

No,it is MR. It's just that the rules state that the car must be rear wheel driven. Where the engine lies isn't important here.

Oh, no ... GSX already dominated the board ... how the ..? sigh ... no variety ... no tuning rule should have prevented this one model rankings.

Yep, really don't think it could/should be called a 'normal car', but then I don't make the rules.

A few people on this forum usually come up with some interesting choices though, even if they aren't contenders. There must be some unusual 450pp 'just for fun' rwds.

Well, I just did 3:15 with mild modified MX5 Roadster NC'07 with a lot less than 450pp, not even a silver :) going to put more pp on it

Am I far off going with the premium NSX Type R ? Can't play atm, just planning ahead what I'm going to use :P

For gold, a Mazda Roadster NC '07 is more than enough, with 440pp I got 3:11.1xxx with another second possible. Using Toyota 86GT or Scion FR-S should be fun as well. I love the Mazda tho, very neutral on sweepers and esses, throttle control brings a lot of fun.

Edit : That time was for Cape Ring TT

I don't have the Suzuki GSX-R/4 but don't you get it as a prize from some B-Spec race? Or do I remember wrong?

The suzuki is obtained wining the championship Formula gt b-spec mode

I'm just going to use the Lotus 114 RM for now and if it isn't working, I'm going to change to the Suzuki.

Hi,

I'm by no means a 'tuner' but heres the tune I used for daytona.(56.5s).

Hope I'm not committing a 'sin', posting on the 1st day

Its what was on the car when I selected it and is probably from a previous TT

-I just adjusted the top speed gearing to suit.

Hope it helps some people,(default diff will be less 'lairy').

P.S. Why can't the people at PD decide a suitable position to start the TT off, because at Daytona, you've got to do a 'warm-up' lap.:rolleyes:

Just won gold on both events.
Used a pure stock Honda NSX Zero '99 gave it 3 goes
and think there's a second or so left in track,
pp was 449 and oil was quite dirty to keep pp's low.
On Daytona I used a pure stock Chevrolet Corvette (C5)
took me 4 rounds and I also think around 2 sec's was left there too.
Used to try have the best time but I find more satisfying to try beat the time
with a pure stock car.
Will give them a run later tonight to see how much will improve.

Oh, man...this is a fun one.

I almost broke 3 minutes on Cape Ring with a GSX.

Time: 3'00.037

Here's the setup I used...and I am NOT a Tuner.

Power: 153HP (54.1% power)
Weight: 788kg (200kg ballast, 10)
Distribution: 46 / 54

Suspension:
Ride Height: 30 / -20
Spring Rate: 16.0 / 12.5
Dampers (Extension): 9 / 5
Dampers (Compression): 7 / 4
Anti-Roll Bars: 7 / 3
Camber Angle: 2.2 / 1.0
Toe Angle: 0.20 / -0.20

LSD: 5 / 15 / 5
Downforce: 0 / 20
Brake Balance: 5 / 3

I've easily broken 2 minutes on Daytona with the same car.

I don't have the Suzuki GSX-R/4 but don't you get it as a prize from some B-Spec race? Or do I remember wrong?

You can receive a gift card for it by winning the B-Spec FGT Championship, or you can buy it from the UCD if you see it there.

Dominant car is the Suzuki GSX-R/4 Concept....for both TT's.

Being a huge fan of the Gixxer I'm not surprised (or disappointed) that it's dominant.

It does seem a bit of a brain-fart on PD's part that they made 2 TTs with the same dominant car. :ouch:

Some times, for the record:

Cape Ring 450pp CS tires
3:12.5 - gold
3:14. - silver
3:17. - bronze

Daytona Road Course SH tires
2:06.5 - gold
2:08.8 - silver
2:11,0 - bronze

1:38.13. Daytona Prototype 2011 pole ~ 600 pp car

Yes the GSX is 6 seconds faster than anything else, using the Praiano 500pp suspension tune for Cape Ring. For Daytona the Ruf CTR2 '96 and BMW GTR '03 both made gold in 2 or 3 laps

I tried the GSX-R/4 and I really didn't like it's handling. So I changed to a de-tuned M3 Coupe and beat the time easily

Tried out the Autobacs Garaiya 02 for the first time for a gold at Cape Ring, with a few tweaks. It's not going to beat the GS-X but with a good tune and a decent driver it could go pretty quickly I reckon.

Love that car, it is so much fun to drive, especially at that PP. For Daytona, I've used an Elise 111R RM... easy gold but can't get it to match the top end of the GXR

It's an absolute beauty. And I didn't even know it was in my garage. I'd like to have a go at tuning it but I'm sure I'd only make it worse.

I'm also trying out the Autobacs Garaiya 02. Never drove it before. Don't have a GSX but I think I'll just work with the Autobacs and see how well I can do with it.

Is there no other car can can contend with the GSX? There must be something?!?!?

The NSX 02 premium, or elise RM looks like they can compete with the GSX, but if you want to try out the GSX you can send me a request and I'll put it on loan.
