:scared: only 59.654 for TT in Japan :indiff:

i hope more sellers in USA and EU, because i want this franchise goes into the future, on PS3! 👍

Behind the Nintendo DS games. I heard there is a DS shortage in Japan. Scary thought.... *runs away before DS fans sees the post*

Well the Japan TT wasn't released until Feb 2nd, so probably hit the store shelves on the 3rd. That list above is for Jan 30 to Feb 5 so considering it only had a couple days of sales that looks pretty good.

Not a flop at all.

50,000 + soold in the first week is a great succes for the game that communicate with very small target-group.

For instance, the FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus sold in 200,000 + in the first week, but it is a Final Fantasy title. On the other hand, new Ar-Tornelico, extremely popular RPG franchise has sold equaiily 50,000 + in the first week and I guess Banpresto (publisher) is more then happy.

50,000+ in the first week is a big succes, together with the 4th place.

Some research and analysis would do you good :).

I wouldn't say it was a flop yet either.... and this recent article from IGN shows that the Nintendo DS is by far the biggest selling console, with PSP second, and PS2 third - so for the first week of a new PS2 title, I'd say those sales figures were pretty good...

sorry but gt4 more more more more 50,000 + sold in the first week :ouch:

gt4 was a best seller in the first week, TT nope :indiff:

i would TT became best seller because the franchise survive on PS3!

sorry for my bad english :sly:

Yeah, but GT4 is considered one of the biggest selling titles. Like amar mentioned, for the kind of game it is(motorcycle racing), it's doing alright. And like I said before, only games that sold more than T.T. were Nintendo DS titles. It's still the best selling console(non-portable) game. :)

P.S. Welcome to gtplanet.net, CICLOPEs!

Man I'm so darn sure that Tourist Throphy 4 would sell darn good too in it's first week.

But for the first version of a game it's very very good I think!👍

I think TT did very well it's first week out. I also must point out that Japan is crawling its way out a recession. Also, the reason that the Nintendo DS games sell so well is because it is a portable system. Every day millions of people pile onto trains (usually my train ;) ) to go to work. A great many of them carry portable game systems to occupy their commuting time, which can take up a huge part of their day.

Well, i think that for a new series 80.000 copies for first two weeks is not very bad.........i think that everyone likes a little bit motorbikes, passing by a video games shop and saw TT rolling demo will enter to buy it.......for sure, because it's a true astonishing bike simulation, by far the best on every game system, IMHO.
