Will tidy up thread as time allows. And get to work on the preseason results. But until then enjoy RacerPaul's spotless run during last week's race on the tuning side at GTF. He must still be spitting out rocks after his close call on turn 5J in lap 2 @ 3'00.000. :scared:

I hope any Noobs aren't scared off by some of these runs. Jump in and have some fun. That's the point.

edit. Ran about 15 laps and knocked off about 6 secs from my time. Amazing what a little practice can do. I won't be opening any pm's from you guys early unless they say NOT FINAL EL CAPITAN TIMES.

G'Day all.
Did a few runs last night and managed to get a clean lap saved.
Should be able to improve before the deadline; we will see.

How many times has everyone fallen off cresting the rise after the tunnel ?
The Bike looks funny riding itself :ouch:

I remember doing this course over at the GTU. Just remember that one corner where you can catch major air.

Have never really tried. But will give it a go. :And see if I can get a pic.

hi all :) just had my opening session and wow, what a beefy bike! :D

its a wrestling match, but it sort of flows if you don't try to push too hard

best T1 so far is 34.887

Best so far.

34.602 - 1'17.877

Hopefully with these street bikes, the lack of being able to adjust the top speed slider will keep you speedsters within shouting distance of us ordinary folk.

I just copied what you did with the MV. Sort of.

Wish I could see the various videos posted.
Also wish I get some of the backlog of videos I have made uploaded.

All too big for dialup and the USB wireless broadband I bought does not get a good enough signal at my house :ouch: will have to take my laptop to work and try there during my lunch break.

Sector times so far ( very early days yet ! ) -
T1 : 37 . 014
T2 : 1 ' 21 . 054

Later.

you can also try the local coffee shop. A lot of them have really good wireless internet and you can grab a snack or some coffee while you're there. :P

Have received two final times (I think). Haven't opened them. Want all to know that we have until the 27th. Still more than a week away. Am open to the idea of going to a weekly schedule Tuesday to Wednesday for a 10 race series if there is interest. Just need to add a couple of more races.

Put in your feedback. Could start on the 27th.

See the above poll at top of current thread.

I am happy to go to a weekly format, does not feel like you are hanging around and losing motivation as may happen with fortnightly Races.

I forget how to insert multiple quotes so this is at SuperShouden -

I have access to one internet Cafe where average speed is about 90 kb/s and costs $1 for ten minutes.
There is apparently a WiFi network in the same area with a small footprint, have not attempted to use it yet.

The vids you are familiar with were all uploaded at said Cafe. I estimate to upload the backlog ( admittedly large files and vg quality ), will cost around $40.That is okay, as I am not poor, it is more about getting the opportunity and time to do it.

Although Tasmanians have recently stopped walking around on all fours ( except Bogans that is ), we still have a primitive and expensive Internet communication system.Changes are happening and things are supposed to improve soon, too slowly to help me for quite a while yet though.
And it will always be expensive.

btw, have improved my time somewhat, down to high 34's for T1 as well now 👍.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I always thought that the slow internet service had to do with the excess gravity that you have down there. Made necessary so you wouldn't fall off!

"Reminder to self". Never complain about the cost of my 24/7 internet connection ever again.

You do realize that that will activate the penalty system. :banghead: As well as the medical system. :ill:

Ahh ! We are a tough bunch here in Tassie
Picked myself up, poured a bit of Whiskey over my gravel rash and punched out a clean lap ( using a combination of "Motard" style and crouching !! believe it or not ).
Times submitted as I doubt I will do any better.

Good Luck all !

( Great comp, great bike , great track !! ).

Still haven't bettered my previous time. But I have been finishing off the last three events to make an even 10. :) Will put up notice on next thread about change to race schedule. Viperin, you were correct. Two weeks is probably too long to wait.

For your viewing pleasure. 👍 Closest I could get to El Capitan.

edit: Much better example.

Great stuff ! My connection lasted long enough to finally check out vids, nice work RacerPaul with the Brutale 👍
Some of that scenery with the Yammy is very much like Tassie. I will have to borrow a bike and camera and do some filming for y'all 💡

I am going to try and edit my replays to a smaller file size and upload them to Photobucket or Google vids or even Youtube.
Will keep you posted.

Later.

hi all :) my best t2 so far is 1:16.273

i'll be giving this one more push before the deadline 👍

I actually liked this one the more laps I did. Times is not fantastic, still left a few seconds on the track, but times running out.

Results posted.

Viperin used the loophole in the rules that allows your toes to be outside the track for a great run. :sly: 👍 Kudos to both him and RacerPaul for the tutorials. Looking forward to seeing RP's Gold run.

edit: Just saw RacerPaul's video. Beautiful. More can be seen. His moniker is 750FRM on Youtube.

hehe, indeed :D tell you what though, after watching his video imo he'd have got gold if he hadn't been using motard form

it looked horribly slow in the turns, yet he wasn't that far behind me at the end

my video is uploading now, i'll link it when its done 👍

good going all. looking forward to round two, it looks a fun combo

My GTP TT-CRS Round 1

It just looked so hilarious when I tried it though, I could not resist, plus it ended up being pretty fast as well. Go figure :)
