From the owner of GT5's ZedTunes comes the all new Tune 6 project.

Here is a thread where all types of car are tuned in different ways and for different purposes. Many unique tunes are on display here designed to cover a number of bases and fit all racers.

Overall, driving ability and fun is the key to these tunes, and not necessarily speed. These tunes are certainly built to be speedy, but a driving feel in these cars is created that is left out in the face of pure speed. Looking at everything from sound to statistics, these tunes are overall built into the most fun package available.

With that said, here are the tunes:
Mazda Lantis Coupe 2000 Type R '93+replay: The Tune 6 mascot returns in GT6, a car that defies its FF drivetrain with real speed.

Light Car Company Rocket '07+replay: Designed with all eras of F1 in mind, the Rocket is tuned to match its namesake with rocket speed.

Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo '98+replay: A throwback to the Gran Turismo 1 era, this 3000GT is little short of a speed machine.

Nissan Cube X '98: Turning a cult hit into a speed machine. No, really. This sort of thing is here too.

Peugeot 905 Evo 1 Bis LM '92: The last great Group C machine, given a special setup for any track.

Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special '98: Gran Turismo's most famous car returns for another go in GT6, still as fast as ever.

Monster Sport SX4 Base Model '11: The new Pikes Peak car, following in the steps of the Escudo with a purely rally-inspired setup.

Tajima 2012 Monster Sport E-Runner Pikes Peak Special '12: One of the toughest tuning nuts to crack - stay tuned for updates on this electric racer...

Cizeta V16T '94: An embodiment of pure fun and what these tunes are about - by, well, C-Zeta.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 '13+replay: The legendary road car is given its famous full tune, and reworked to actually get round corners.

McLaren F1 '94: An extremely fast but extremely difficult tune - this one will test your driving skill to the limit.

Mazda BP Falken RX-7 '03: From drifter to racer, the Mazda BP Falken RX-7 makes the move in a 550PP tune.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track '13: An autocross tune. Plenty of power in its engine, plenty of smoke in its tyres, plenty of steering to go with...

Renaultsport Clio V6 Phase 2 '03: Redefining the concept of hot hatchbacks, with a maximum of 750bhp thanks to nitrous.

Peugeot RCZ '10: Peugeot's beautiful coupe comes to Tune 6, with a prototypical tune for all to try.

Mazda Demio Sport '10+replay: The hot hatch problem is solved - here's a Mazda2 that can really perform.

Mazda Autozam AZ-1 '92+replay: A supercar among kei cars - the AZ-1 is given the full works to become one of the fastest kei cars.

Renaultsport Megane RS Trophy '11+replay: Renault's finest hour of the 21st century, one of the finest period, arrives at Tune 6 with a big tuneup.

Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R N1 base '06: The best GT-R ever, tuned at 600PP. Armpit fans need not apply...

Amuse S2000 Street Version '04+replay: A 500PP tune for the truly awesome Amuse S2000. Move, and it'll shoot. I messed up. I meant, shoot and it'll move. In a flash.

Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (KPGC110) '73+replay: This Skyline is fully tuned. You will know its speed...

Tommykaira ZZ-S '00: You'll love this lightspeed lightweight - tuned here to 500PP, expect a drive with no compromise.

Tommykaira ZZII '00+replay: A car loved the Gran Turismo world over. Experience speed beyond anything you've ever seen with this ZZII full tune.

Nissan GT-R Black edition '12+replay: Everything you want from a maxed out GT-R, right here for your entertainment. Speed is for the proper people...

Autobacs Garaiya '02: There isn't much that can beat this Autobacs Garaiya, a lightweight ripper for the 500PP game.

Lexus LFA '10: Just the one this time. But it's a good one - the embodiment of Tune 6's tuning mindset. A fast, fun machine of real quality.

DMC DeLorean S2 '04+replay: Your time is with this DeLorean, a 500PP tune that defies its RR setup for all the right reasons.

Caterham Seven Fireblade '02: Fixing what is still Gran Turismo's biggest **** up in terms of performance. Stay tuned for updates on this full tune.

Ferrari Dino 246 GT '71+replay: One classic car piled up into one superbly well-rounded full tune - it can do it all.

Ferrari FXX '07+replay: The very-much loved FXX comes in one of the fastest cars to grace the series ever, an almost untouchable full tune.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce '09: A 600PP tune of unbelievable capability, this Murcielago is almost faultless in driving style, speed and feel.

Minolta Toyota 88C-V '89+replay: There literally almost isn't a car quicker than this. The fastest non-Formula in the game, made faster still with a full tune.

Mini Cooper 1.3i '98+replay: Hey, it's like one of those old rally racers! One to enjoy at whatever speed you want it to go.

Nissan Skyline GT-R N1 (R33) '95+replay: Another GT-R arrives on our doorstep, ready to blow your mind.

Mitsubishi 3000GT SL '95+replay: A throttle-happy 500PP 3000GT, no turbo necessary...

All comment is welcomed. Thank you for visiting the Tune 6 project.

If you wonder why the hell this is my first tune, go and check my GT5 ZedTunes page now.

The reason why I came to love the Lantis so much, is because it provides the perfect base for my tuning needs. This simple 176bhp FF can have its 2.0 V6 very easily taken up here to a far more powerful specimen, itself lightened down and it turned into nothing of the FF sort, with all trace of understeer characteristics completely nullified.

That said, turning this now effectively fully-tuned Lantis into a strong tune was surprisingly more difficult than was the case in GT5.

The key turned out to be its turning in on corner exit, as the throttle is being applied. Without setting changes, the Lantis struggled in such situations. But after some radical settings updates, the Lantis becomes a car that you can push very, very hard and very, very fast.

Without any question, this is a car you can drive at maximum speed, without fear of understeer. With care through the corners themselves, this becomes an absolute lunatic of a car at 100%, full out speed. You can feel this tune shine through there.

Oh, and the wing is now placed like a wing. No more plastic holders for this hidden gem, and hidden beauty, of a car.

UPDATE 03/01/14 Nitrous has been tested...with 772bhp at 100% boost, it's pretty much a unanimous decision. Fit your 100k nitrous today!

This was actually the first full-tune concoction I made in GT6. Ironically it came about as something of a situational idea...

I actually made this tune to match my Photomode Competition Week 1 entry, going for a picture style similar to the type seen in the 60s F1 races. With its all-but-reminiscent body, the Light Car Company Rocket was a clear choice for my photoshoot.

To go out and do it, I went and effectively fully tuned it to try and match the famed old F1 speed. But as it turns out, quite ironically, the tune now seems to pay homage to each decade of F1 history in some way...

The style obviously provides likeness to F1 cars of the 50s and 60s. In addition the metallic colour given was also designed to try and match Lotus' famous cars of the 60s.
The Rocket is effectively a kit car, and some F1 cars were kit cars as such in the 70s.
The inline-4 is equipped with a turbo, an engine type favoured and loved in the 80s (though smaller, here...and much less powerful!)
The car was built by Gordon Murray of McLaren F1 game, McLaren being a well recognised team in the 90s.
The car itself is in a spec from the 00s.
And it's being played on a game in the 10s.

Quite a mix of decades involved in this car indeed. As for the tune itself, it's pure track speed all the way here. A relatively short transmission is used here to bring about lightning acceleration. The car itself is still quite slippery when even slightly mishandled, but the overall grip will provide immense speed regardless. Enjoy this very much loved car in its most complete form.

At the Test Course, in a Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo - it's a familiar memory in Gran Turismo 1. The GTO, long famed as one of the most powerful cars in that game at 930bhp, became a fan favourite in the game.

Since then, only Gran Turismo 3 has been able to beat that figure - the 3000GT there peaking at over 1000bhp. But somehow the essence was never the same, with the more hardcore GT3 physics engine compared to the loose and wild GT1 engine.

GT6, though, has managed to beat GT1's scale, hitting 958bhp with a full tune. And that's before you bring in the question of one 100,000 Cr. Nitro Kit...

With the touch of R1, at 70% power boost, you now get 1628bhp. Not much more needs to be said on that subject. Except that this car will break 300mph with that much behind it - and this is not even a top speed tune.

Indeed, this 3000GT has been tuned in an attempt to at least try and make sure it stays on the road. Some wild settings were required, but it works alright. You can not only power past allcomers without question on the throttle, but you can also maybe keep it on the road as well when you aren't.

It's a true throwback to the glory days of Gran Turismo 1 - all it needs is an RM livery.

What a fantastic little machine this is , so much fun to drive ... Punches way above its weight, I won the 15 minute races at 556 pp against 650 pp touring and race cars only by hundredths of a second , just love this car.. Job well done:tup:

NissanCubeXBannerTune6.png

Syracuse_1.jpg

Mostly, I'll be doing the sublime. But sometimes I'll be doing the ridiculous. As you see here.

The Nissan Cube of the late 90s seems strangely like my favourite candidate in this game to make an absolutely maddening full tune out of. So I did just that, creating this machine.

When you press the magic R1 button on this car, you have more power than an original R35. Except this weighs 853kg. Sounds attractive, no?

Peugeot905Evo1BisLMBannerTune6.png

CircuitdelaSarthe2013.jpg
If you asked me to list any 5 cars to put in one garage - road-legal or not - the Peugeot 905 would be one of them.

The 905 was the last great Group C car, and for that it has my respect, among other things, such as its beautiful looks, that make it probably my favourite race car ever.

Its Gran Turismo history has not been quite so checkered though. Wading into the GT4 war with a very broken gearbox, the 905 was actually the slowest of the Group Cs or Prototypes.

Come GT5, this was fixed though and the 905 managed to assert itself well in the pack, despite being somewhat of an oddball - it is the lightest in the class but also the highest revving, packing 6 speeds unlike most other Group Cs but not quite being the fastest despite its incredible P/W ratio.

In GT6 though, it really is one of the fastest. But not just that - it's also one of the easiest going, making it surely one of the best choices for the late game GT World Championship.

Of course I chose it without really knowing this. I just chose it because I love it the most. Though I tuned the car up for the different tracks in the series and gave it different setups for each, this here is the best general one I have. Obviously it is somewhat loose but that just gives you more freedom to move it about. Enjoy the French speed machine.

The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak is the most famous car in Gran Turismo history, bar none. Nothing has broken the game quite like the GT2 iteration of the car. Though knocked down in GT4, it returned to cause some havoc in GT5 and continues to do so in GT6.

I tuned this in GT5 and created what I actually thought was one of my best tunes. It was just nothing short of pure fun to just throw about on Spa.

In GT6, the Escudo tune has a different effect. It's more concentrated on its maddening speed, while remaining stable. Three more Pikes Peak cars might have arrived, but this is still the fastest of them all - so hit the road now, with the Gran Turismo hit car.

MonsterSportSX4BaseModelBannerTune6.png

MatterhornRotenboden_1-1.jpg
The Escudo finally has a mate. Three, technically, but the first since the Cultus in GT2.

The SX4 which broke Pikes' Peak's 10 minute barrier is not as fast as the Escudo, due to much more weight, but it does wield more power. Needless to say, it is still very quick.

Though that's not what this tune is really about. The car drives very loosely, and the throttle is very responsive. This is designed to evoke the style of massively powerful rally cars - though this sort of is one. Still, you have to drive it with some care, but when you do, you'll be going fast and having plenty of fun to go with it.

2012-Tajima-Monster-Sport-E-Runner-rear-three-quarters-view.jpg
The third Pikes Peak car, also the least successful since the 2012 E-Runner didn't even last a minute before catching fire. And the 2013 version didn't get the win, because Sebastian Loeb is a selfish bastard.

The E-Runner is way, way outside of the other Pikes Peak cars. It's not hard to see why - it's electric. This means that accceleration is amazing - for about the first 100mph. But at almost 160mph the E-Runner is already running out of torque to get by.

The driving style required is also far more different - and the tuning style. Indeed, this was a difficult one to tune. I tuned it on Spa and this tune managed to mix enough speed in both slow and fast corners on the track to get by. But there is still work that can be done on this tune so far. Consider this a work in progress, this being the first installment for now.

What better way to embody your tuning goals with the car you're named after?

I named myself after the cult supercar because, well, I thought it was the coolest thing to name myself 5 years ago. I now have a different main moniker elsewhere, but in and around this community I go by the name C-Zeta. And my PSN name is V16T91. Which adds to the theme.

This Cizeta tune is, as I said, a very clear demonstration of my aims when tuning - fun comes first. Because while it certainly is fast, it's not the most specialised on the track itself...just sliding about freely is what this car is about. It does it very well, like little else about. Enjoy, a lot.

What we have here is not so much a tune as a challenge. As in, can you handle this fully tuned McLaren F1?

The setup here makes the car incredibly slippery and jerky, so you really will be tested with your full throttle control skills with this. This car is undeniably fast - it fits the concept, and then some - but it's more of a practice car for your throttle control. Can you keep it on the road, or are you in for a considerable accident? This is one for the top drivers.

MazdaBPFalkenRX-7BannerTune6.png

SpecialStageRouteX-1.jpg
Quite a lot of drift cars look like they could be potentially raced. Or at least most of them do. This Mazda BP Falken RX-7 was probably my top candidate from the switch to drifting, which is wrought with flaws, to racing, which is a brilliant spectacle.

Though the car does understeer naturally, it's not at all harmful. You can still easily get this car round corners. The speed might not seem convincing either, but for a 550pp setup it's there. Get out there and use this car as it should be.

HyundaiGenesisCoupeBannerTune6.png

GranTurismoArenaLayoutA.jpg
Because Rhys Millen somehow thinks Hyundais are good for this sort of thing. The idiot.

So yes, this is a Hyundai that is vaguely trying to be an autocross racer. It might just work though, it's got the turning ability...it's your job to drive it as fast as you can though. Give the Genesis a shot...

RenaultsportClioV6Phase2BannerTune6.png

CircuitodeMadrid_1.jpg
Simply put, here is a Clio designed to be really ****ing fast.

The Phase 2 V6 was always a mad hot hatch to begin with, way above the RS Clios that have popped up since. A shame that turbos aren't a thing with this, but who needs turbos anyway - just add nitrous! When you press the R1 button, you now have 750bhp at your disposal - and that needs no translation. Feel the power in the fastest Clio ever.

PeugeotRCZBannerTune6.png

London_1-1.jpg
The Peugeot RCZ has been a surprisingly tough car to tune. There isn't really any reason for that being the case. But anyway, here's another crack at it.

The understeer has been kept, but much more tamed. The car has considerably more grip which allows it to hold the driving line regardless. Take some care with it though. Then you should enjoy it.

The Mazda2 never got a hot hatch model...until now.

In real life, the Mazda2 has been crying for a hot hatch model for a while now. The mechanics and chassis of the car would really suit a hot hatch. But we aren't going to get one.

So instead here's one. It's like your typical hot hatch, but better, because the steering on this is much improved, and cornering is now a strong point. Enjoy the true Mazda2 hot hatch.

I tuned an AZ-1 before on GT5 - but this time, this is a fully tuned AZ-1.

Most of the kei cars in the game don't interest me - except this one. Of all the kei cars that made it big, this one was probably the closest to a supercar. The doors, looks and layout was all inspired by supercar backgrounds. Yet this Mazda sold rather little, being sold for only 1 year. But it's still the most immense kei car of them all.

This full tune does need to be taken care of - it might have little power but it also has little weight and an MR layout! Also, you really do need nitrous for this. Mid range turbos are more powerful than high range ones for this, and the high range power is dreadful, so the R1 button will be your friend there. Use it even at peak power if you wish - you can get a maximum of 342bhp out of it like this!

Named after my part-French friend. She's really fit, actually. Just like this Megane RS is...

The Megane RS is one part of my 5-car garage, as the best hot hatch I have known. It's more than fast enough, but it does the other part of a hot hatch well - allow you to live a daily life in it. This is why the hot hatch is the best class of car around.

But the big seller of the Megane RS is the looks, especially in this yellow. It's just jaw-dropping, so perfect in so many ways.

And so I had to go and tune it. The stock sound is really awesome, a true rumble, but a semi-racing exhaust is used here for the sake of PP - and it's not bad either, bearing the CT230R style sound that I also love so much.

As for the drive itself, it matches the style of other FFs here - the tune is primarily built around pushing the car to the limit, particularly out of corners. The Megane RS proves successful in this once again. Go and buy one now, and, if you aren't going to keep it stock, give it this quick recipe for success.

Fixed it now. Apologies for that.

I'm also planning on putting up replays of these tunes, and future ones, for download. I don't have a capture card so it's probably the best way. Stay tuned for that.

Hello Sir,
Any idea how this tune would work out on a 475pp car with 330hp and 1237kg running sports soft tyres?
I am using one for a race tomorrow and will have very little time to set it up myself.
Thanks in advance,
Jim.

EDIT, forgot to add, no aero parts being used.
