Hello all therat1989 here doing a car comparision. I did run into a slight dilemma when doing this. The problem is that there are so many tuned up skylines in the game. The tuner skulines ranged anywhere from 400hp up to 600hp! Pricing can go from a mere 90,000cr to almost triple that at 250,000cr! I decided to keep it strictly to 4wd Skylines that are only tuned by Nismo. I may in the future test the GTR-LM but my experience with that car show more of a stock feeling rather than a "tuner" car. First thing to list would be my "rating formula" The maximum number of points a car can recieve is 2000 points. The total of 2000 points will be accumulated through 4 major tests. All these tests are completely fair and solely rely on the cars ability rather than the drivers skill except the "driving opinion" portion of the test. Which is my opinion on how easy it is to drive the car fast.
The 4 major tests are as followed
Price-500pts max
Acceleration/top speed-(0-60,0-100,400m,1000m,top speed,(no ASM/TCS)) 100pts each for a total of 500pts
B spec lap at Grand Valley speedway The cars are given 5 laps at the track set on 3 with no ASM/TCS
Drivers opinion My opinion on how the car drives at racing speeds.
The contenders:
R32 GTR S-tune 500+482.1+493.62+500=1975.72
R33 400R 441.2+443.85+487.53+450=1822.58
R34 GTR R-tune 360+500+500+350=1710
Price. the S-tunes 90,000cr price gave this car an early lead with 500 points.
The 400R's value at 102,000 gave it 441pts
and the R-tunes price of 125,000cr gave it a much lower 360pts.
Acceleration/Top speed
All cars had an AT with no holding of the R2 button. The gas was held to the floor the whole time after the Start button has been hit to ensure fairness in testing.
The R-tune showed strong acceleration numbers posting
0-60 in 4.150,
0-100 in 9.766,
the 400m in 12.499@116mph,
and the 1000m in 22.604@148mph.
The cars top speed was 189.54mph. 500pts
The S-tune posted the second best score with a
0-60 of 4.483
0-100 in 10.250
400m in 12.801@112mph
1000m in 23.079@145mph
Top speed: 187.85mph
482.1pts
The 400R had a major power loss above 8000rpm but since I chose to keep it in AT this hurt this car tremendously in both top speed and acceleration.
0-60 in 4.766
0-100 in 11.516
400m in 13.231@108mph
1000m in 24.240@134mph
Top speed of 159.82mph
443.85pts
B-spec lap at Grand Valley
The R-tune posted a very impressive time of 2:09:108---500pts
The S tune posted a time of 2:10:776---493.62
The 400R came in 2 seconds later with a 2:12:409---487.53
The S-tune was so easy to drive fast. I posted a very fast clean lap the first time I went out. On the 1st lap. 500pts
The 400R is a good car because you know your limits. The problem is a little bit of understeer. 450pts
The R-tune is difficult to frive. It oversteers and becomes twitchy when driven fast. If you can drive with a small amount of drift you will do fine. 400pts.
Well there you have it. The S-tune is the all around best car.The 400R would have been a closer match had I not used AT and the R-tune was just too pricey and difficult to frive. Thanks for reading my write up.
