Greetings! I am a new member, and new to the Gran Turismo 5 game (been playing about 3 weeks). I am working my way through winning each racing series in order to build my driving skills. Currently, I am finishing up the Amateur Series.

Between races, I typically check the Used Car Dealer to see what is available. Given my affinity for 1984-89 Porsche 911, I bought a 1986 Ruf 911 BTR on a whim (no series to use it in yet). My justification was that I loved the original Yellowbird and wanted my own virtual Ruf 911.

However, I quickly learned in a practice session that this vehicle is completely un-drivable in its stock condition! I have never experience such uncontrollable over steer in any vehicle (real or virual). I added soft-compound race tires to the car, which helped somewhat, but the car needs MAJOR suspension tuning. My next purchase will be the fully adjustable suspension. I have very limited experience tuning so far.

What have your experiences been with this car? What tune did you find makes the car neutral and stable? Any information is appreciated.

Thanks! For some reason when I searched this Tuning Forum for "RUF" and "BTR", I did not receive any hits. This is exactly what I am looking for!
