Hey guys. I just logged on a couple of hours ago to find that there is an A-Spec Super GT even in the Seasonal Events section. I know that tuning is essentially unrestricted (since I'm guessing most, if not all the cars eligible for the event don't exceed 650PP), so I thought I'd attempt creating a tune that is easy to drive, without any worries of power loss in the straights and control in the corners.

Today, I will attempt a tune with the Takata Dome NSX '06, which you can find in the Premium Dealership under Honda.

The practice track that I chose to tune the car in is at the Grand Valley Speedway. Now, I know that this isn't in the event, but this track features a nice long straight, as well as elevation changes and an overall beautiful scenery. Gotta love the originals from GT!

Under Driving Options, I have set the following:

Manual Transmission
Racing Hard Tires (front and back)
Traction Control, Skid Recovery Force, Active Steering, and Active Stability Management OFF
ABS at 1

As for the actual settings and parts list:

Chassis Reinforcement Installed
Aerodynamics: 40 Front/ 60 Rear
High RPM Range Turbo Kit
Transmission Top Speed set at 211, no specific changes
LSD Settings: Initial Torque 8, Acceleration 40, Braking 16

Suspension:
Ride Height: -14 Front/ -14 Rear
Spring Rate: 14.2 Front/ 15.4 Rear
Dampers Extension: 9 Front/ 8 Rear
Dampers Compression: 7 Front/ 7 Rear
Anti-Roll Bars: 7 Front/ 7 Rear
Camber Angle: 1.8 Front/ 0.5 Rear
Toe Angle: 0 Front/ 0.15 Rear
Brake Balance: 7 Front/ 5 Rear
Tires: Racing Hard

With this, there might be a little bit of oversteer in tighter corners, though it's nothing that nobody can't handle already.

You'll notice that the Top Speed isn't really that high, and that's because I found that it literally took forever while in 6th gear to even get up that high. With the setting that it's at, the gear changes should be more smooth through the corners, and Top Speed should be reachable if you draft behind an opponent.

Overall, I feel satisfied with my setup. I did a 1:53.046 lap, though keep in mind that I wasn't pushing too hard, and I am using a DUALSHOCK 3 controller with the sensitivity settings set to 7. I'll eventually obtain $300 to buy a proper racing wheel, but until then, a controller will have to do. :indiff:

By all means, comment on what you think of the setup. After all, I'm looking to become a better tuner. As many people say, there isn't really a universal setup for cars, but I'll keep on trying to make setups for cars that will work in most circuit situations.

Thanks for looking! And good luck racing out there! My PSN ID is Hobogoku1, in case anyone feels like goin' out for a friendly race or something :)

I find the Takata-Dome NSX to be absolutely perfect stock. Only things I've changed are...

-Chassis Reinforcement
-Racing Softs
-Tranny mod depending on track
-High RPM Turbo <-Engine limited to 493 HP.
-Max downforce

I'll give your setup a go...I previously used another setup on the GTP forums and it made the car too stiff and not as pliable through the corners.

Edit: Tested car at grand valley with the settings I mentioned, except with Racing Hards -- 1:50.067 - Not a perfect lap either, DS3 User.

Edit 2: Tune tried. First positives, The car seems to be able to corner slightly harder on certain corners, and that's about it. The tune introduces under-steer going into corners, and over-steer instability exiting them. Was about a second slower per lap(Or around two seconds, counting my fastest lap), and I pushed it hard. Reverted back to stock, and drove two more laps, Took off more time off my lap. I guess I warmed up, for around 1:49.056, which could be pushed lower no doubt. I'm not the greatest on Grand Valley. I much prefer the Reverse configuration of the track.

Note, for your setup, I only changed the Suspension and LSD to keep consistent with my stock settings. Oh and my transmission was set at 196 from prior Nurburgring runs.
