what do you guys do to make your car fun to drive?

Lately I've been tuning my car with this limitation:
- all 2.0 spring rate
- all maximum ride height

Just playing, but I get much fun with it that I end up playing all day with various car and various track. What make this limitation fun for me is the way the car feel soft, where little mistakes do not punish you much. Only little tuning needed to correct the car handling.

I start with 10 damper and 7 stabilizer. If the car get understeer on lift off throttle I reduce rear damper. If the car understeer on mid corner I reduce the front stabilizer. I set camber to 0/0 to reduce complication.

With this kind of tuning, I always want to drive more lap. Although in FF I am a bit annoyed to it's prone to understeer steering, I am still like driving it :).

Hooray Sucahyo! :) You've saved the GT2 forum. I hate being the only one here on the weekends!

Well for me, it's the rush I get. I'm convinced that's why I love GT...it's all comes down to my heart boiling as I skool some AI bastards. I just did a slew of Manufacture races (all the Nissan ones...Pulsar, GT-R, March, etc) and I lost a couple of them because I didn't anticipate the AI and didn't have enough power. But as long as I get my "GT fix", I'm good for the evening.

For instance, I bought a March G# and the game has all the AI cars powered up to match a stock used March, which has more power. So in that race at Seattle, the game skooled me! But that's the beauty of GT2...all those races are 2 laps, so if you lose, it only takes another 4 minutes max to try and win again. :)

I love being very close to the opponent too, getting side by side from corner to corner is really fun :). You get high satisfaction if you can win your race by a nose length win when the opponent and you is very equal :D. And GT2 allow that to happen 👍.

hmm, I think I will redo manufacturer race without the obvious tuning advantage. This time I will do it with FC suspension mod only, my 2.0 spring rate and max ride height should be fair enough to the AI. Fun race ahead :).

Off topic so I apologise, but did you catch the GP this weekend. If you like close racing and wheel to wheel action then you missed a good race.

Holy christ! 4 posts in and already we're hijacking?!!!? ! :ouch: Just kidding. No I didn't see the GP. I missed it. instead I lay in my basement most of the day. Or I slept. You shoulda paged me man, I can be right over once my learjet gets serviced.

I don't watch that anymore, as I see those race more as engine race than driver race.
I like seeing max biaggi (?) drifting his bike on corner though.

I don't have anything against F1 or NASCAR or any other homogenized racing league...I just think they should loosen up. I loooove watching GT racing. Audi vs. Acura vs. Catheram vs. BMW...and all the cars actually resemble their real-life versions. You can actually see (for instance) that certain cars will have an advantage at Lime Rock that they might not have at Laguna Seca. bla bla bla.

I like to see 6 of my car compete too, create a race of selected car, sadly still failed. Even HYBRIDLVR code do not work, it only show the body, the tuning and engine is not applied.

I like to take my Subaru 360 out and see what cars I can beat with it:D,
now it's fun when you beat a 300+HP car with a max out 360:).

Hey I thought I would just throw it in the mix, see what comes up...

I did but you had it turned off... I always have a standby jet for when my Lear is being serviced, you know a simple Airbus 380 with 5 seats for the family and slot car race track to keep me occupied during the flight!!!

Yeah I know what you mean, I wish they would take some of the driver aids away so that it becomes more about the driving again. Still I tend to catch each race as you never know when a good one is going to occurr, and this was 1 of them...

Yes, I used to love watching the TVR's but they don't seem to be racing anymore. Touring Cars are also fun to watch cause they are close races and normally there is contact and people spinning off etc...

However, I still see F1 as the pinacle of racing, 200mph+ wheel to wheel down a track to a sharp tight corner...

I wanna go to England. I was there last when I was 16. My dad let me drink real ale in a real pub! You're rite, F1 is the pinnacle of racing, but it's just not very innovative; not like it used to be. Still, though, it sounds like a good race!

Hey (another hijack--sorry Suc) speaking of...I just won my very first F1 car in GT3 the other day :) Haven't raced it yet.

Here is some fun for you, take a Mini max out and race the muscle cars at
Seattle Circuit. Now that is fun:D. And I beat them by 1.5sec's too:).
Next i'm tring to beat them with my Subaru 360, so far I have only been
off by 1.5sec's and in 2nd place:).

Ok, I will try that :)

Yeah:D, after about 20+ tries I finale beat the musle cars at Seattle Circuit:D.
And I do have to say it was hard, but after I did that I went and made three
hybrids of the 360 just to see how fast I could make it go. From mild to wild:sly:.

I tried it, failed to win, but it seem possible, I just have to train to use it. Seeing every opponent dusted you at start is a bit demoralizing ..........
