Tuning for NR Nordschleife

I am fairly new to game and I am trying to break 8' with SH, 500PP, no assists.
I have seen greatly variable tunes in terms of suspension height for this track. Does Nordschleife require a more refined suspension adjustment than the simple "lower is better" philosophy?
 
I think the track is best run with stiffer springs and slightly higher ride height than what other tracks would be run in.

Would this be a reasonable statement:

A tune that would be ideal for use with RS tires would need to be adjusted with a lower suspension height and stiffer springs if one were using SH tires? Also would it be reasonable to use more downdraft with SH than with RS, to attempt to compensate for decreased tire traction?

If by lower suspension height you mean using a higher value in the tuning menu, then yes. Although the tire compound does not matter because the suspension will act the same through bumps.

No it won't... in real life, tyres with more grip have harder suspension, allowing lower ride heights.

More grip = more load on the suspension = harder suspension.

Let me see if I understand. So, if all other things being equal, if one changes from RS to SH tires, one should soften suspension?
 
Yes, less tyre grip should mean you need softer suspension... it balances the weight transfer.
 
and remeber the most important part of any track is the turn before the longest straite. There are several long fast sections on the ring, work on those first then the other tighter sections. I dont remeber who but a famous racer once said " i would rather be fast in the fast sections, than fast in the slow sections"
