Tuning Parts

When you are in your garage and go into turning parts it list all of your current parts. If you have a engine that you might not swap out can you sell it and get the credit amout that's it shows. Can you even sell any parts for credit? And if you do sell a car that has alot of performance parts on it do you get that part back or does it sell with the car?
