Tuning Tips for 1/4 Dodge Charger 440 R/T ?

I've just recently tryed the 1/4 drags in my muscle car... man is it alot diffrent then the cars im used to driving,i seem so slow getting beat by like 3-4 cars~

My launch Could be better im sure that would help with but it also seems like i dont have enough "Pull" i seem to mostly be getting passed near the middle even when i get a good launch....


So can anyone help me out? just looking for a few pointers as i've already tryed a few things with little to no luck

Well for a good launch you want low front high back soft springs on the back fairly high extension on back and not much compression for the trans you may not be changing at the correct torque range say if a car redlines at 8k revs but it's best power was at 6k revs you would want to change at like 6.5k revs. Some times you may need to lengthen your gears so when you shift it goes back into the correct rev range with the most power

Forgot to talk about camber and toe lol. If the cars back wheels spin alot at take off add more toe angle it helps get more traction there are some downfalls to toe though as it increases tyre wear and fuel consumption with camber angle I'm nit so sure but you don't want to put too much on as it will decrease the surface area where the tyre makes contact with the road

hOW MUCH HP is yours?

(i'vent bought it in the ocd.)

Mine came with more than 100.000 miles but i've tuned and made an engine rebuid and has 760hp aprox.
