Not at home so I can't try this but...

Cars that have trouble hooking up off the line, I'm wondering if we installed the heavier flywheels or non race clutches. Would it help? The whole shot is 80% of the 1/4!

A lighter clutch or a clutch with less diameter allows quicker gear changes, while a lighter flywheel allows better engine response*.

*better engine response means that your revs rise and fall much quicker.

I get that but during launch I'm thinking this... Stock or sports clutch will slip a bit before laying 100% of power to the driveline making less wheel spin.

Heavier fly will add to the above. In between shifts RPM won't drop as far since the momentum of the heavier flywheel keeps the RPM up.

Ive tried this a few times swaping cluthes and flywheels around. Some cars it helped 0-60 slightly but 0-100 and 1/4 times always suffered. But like I said ive only tried this on a couple cars. So do some real testing and let us know the outcome. 👍

By the way good job on thinking outside the box, ive found out many things this way. :)
