i used to run on boost :( .. Too much boost, actualy no i could never have too much boost, just now i need a stronger block and a new turbo mani
 
bah! pissweak turbochargers. you guys should see some of the turbo chargers on V12 diesels that produce 7600hp at 1200rpm and aluminium smelters. those babys run 24/7.

Why does it have a starter attached to it?

You'll probably find that's a 'turbo timer' or similar device designed to keep the turbo spinning for a while after the engine's switched off (preserves the bearings).

Are you sure its 7,600 HP!? and 1200 rpm doesnt even sound close to being decent.

Don't know a lot about industrial application diesels, eh?

These motors run very low revs because they run massive pistons, and also they run 24/7 so stresses need to be kept at a minimum. They also produce enough torque to rotate the planet.

I remember once standing INSIDE the cylinder of a cargo ship diesel engine that was being overhauled - that was impressive.
