I am at a loss. If anyone would know the solution I'd greatly appreciate it.

I have a set of PX22's connected to a PS4. The splitter cable (red/white with male/female ends) is connected to a Logitech 5.1 computer speaker system. The female side of the splitter has a av cord from a PS3 going into it (red/white). While the av is disconnected from the PS3, sound is normal. But if I connect the av to the back of the PS3, 90% of the volume from the PS4 is cut. And for a twist, if I turn on the PS3 with the av connected it returns to normal volume. But as soon as I shut the PS3 off I lose almost all sound from the PS4.

Any ideas? I am at a complete loss as to why a console that's turned off is making another device lose its audio.
