This is a guide to getting videos from your favourite DVD's onto your PC
what you need for most file types:
.wmv - standard Windows Media Video
.vob - video file type that is stored on DVDs
.gvi - Google Videos
unsupported file types that i have tested and found not to work:
.avi
.mov
for the ones you downloaded off the net, skip straight to step 2
To get regular video files on your psp:
1.) Insert your DVD into your DVD drive, open DVD Decrypter, click the mode tab and click file, then click go, it will start ripping the files to your hard drive. If you didn't select a directory, it will default to c:\ so you will end up with c:\moviename\Video_TS, so for example if the DVD was called Over The Hedge, the directory would be "C:\VIDEO_TS\Over_The_Hedge" wait until the ripping is complete.
2.) Find the video files which you would like to take, do this by using any DVD player on your PC, rename the files if you wish, or you might just want to take the whole lot. If it is a google video or a .wmv file, then you should already know which one's which. Once you have found the files, run the 3GP_Converter setup, set the language dropdown to English, and find the psp one, you will notice there is 2 psp methods, the first one just converts the to the psp format, the second one automatically renames them for you. If you are lazy or want to save time and have firmware under 2.81 (otherwise it's pointless), select the second one (direct, renamed) then click apply.
3.)
4.)
What you need:
1.) Find your videos off youtube, and use the FF extension to download it.
2.) Drag and drop the files into replay converter, select your desired psp format, and click convert. Wait for it to finish.
3.) Copy it to your memory stick (See step 3 and 4 above for details on the folder for your firmware version.
enjoy!
what you need for most file types:
- As much free space on your PC as the DVD uses plus about an extra 300MB for the converted files
- Up to 300MB of free space on your memory stick
- A USB cable to connect your psp to your PC
- At least Firmware 1.0
- DVD Decrypter - only needed for ripping from DVD's, you don't need this if you've already got the video files
- 3GP_Converter - search the net for this, for converting the files to psp format

3.)
- Open 3GP_Converter.exe, drag all the files you want on your psp onto the converter window, and let it go, this will take a long time. Once it's done, you will notice all the videos have a name.mp4 file, with a name.thm file. If you chose the first option and you have under 2.81, you will need to rename the .mp4 file to a M4Vxxxxx.mp4 format, the x represents the numbers, for example, M4V86471.mp4, the .thm file will need the same name, so M4V86471.thm, If you chose the second option, this will be done already.
4.)
- For firmware below 2.8, create a folder on the root of your memory (not in the psp folder with the MUSIC, PHOTO, etc) stick called "MP_ROOT" then a subfolder called "100MNV01", (If you have not already formatted your memory stick) Drag or copy all the .mp4 files and the .thm files to 100MNV01, and your done!.
- For firmware 2.8 and higher: Create a folder on the root of your memory stick (F:\, not F:\psp) called VIDEO (If you have not already formatted your memory stick) Just paste your videos here and you're done.

1.) Find your videos off youtube, and use the FF extension to download it.
2.) Drag and drop the files into replay converter, select your desired psp format, and click convert. Wait for it to finish.
