TV Forum???

Hey all, I was just talking with someone, and it occurred to me that a TV specific forum might be a nice idea for a sub forum off the rumble strip.
The movie forum did even better than I had expected, and I'm figuring that everyone here has at least one, most likely three Televisions.
This way we can all chat about Dawson's Creek, Glimore Girls, Lifetime channel, and HSN

Can't forget Oxygen, Disney, and Women's Entertainment.

Just use the Rumble Strip. Do we need sub-forum for everything?

that takes away from the fun of an off topic forum though, once all of the off topic topics are gone to other forums, theres nothing off topic!

if you want to talk about movies, music, etc... you have to click another link, and another, and another.. what happens when you section off an off topic forum? that topic loses a bit of interest cause "you have to talk about this over here now..."

then you get people posting the topic in the off topic forum, then the mods "have to" move the topic to the other forum, then theres a thread "Why TF did you move my topic?" then abunch of admin bashing, people calling people nazis, etc... it gets pretty ugly.

its happened over at the GTF, the forum got over moderated, sectioned off too much, and flame wars broke out... its not a good thing.

that is why I'm not really a fan of UBB setups. Just too many divisions, too much to take in, bla bla bla. I've been a member of an egroup, now yahoogroup, for my car, for years. It seems to be much easier to deal with, IMO. The mod's in here do a great job tho, and I keep commin back.. Keep it up everybody!

Two weeks ago, I would have said that the rumble strip was fine, but with the new surge of members, I was thinking that slower topics based on TV shows would get buried within hours.

Just like other topics.... If a specific "off topic" begins to overcome the off topic thread then in generally brakes off into a topic specific sub-forum....

Supply and demand.... When there's a demand for a sub-forum based on TV related topics, I'm sure Jordan would be more than happy to comply with the demand by supplying....

So to all you TV glowters, start flooding the rumble strip with TV related topics, make the rumble strip appear to be a TV thread and the administrator would have no choice but to comply...

Rename the "Movie" sub-forum to "Movie/TV".....


How that sound? I mean, TV shows are like movies on the small screen right? And eventually, all movies from the big screen hit the TV.....so how's about that?
