TVR Cebera Speed 12

So yeah.....

I made the mistake of buying this car for the supercar festival....

I'm not overly disappointed with the car but it burns through the first 4 gears....

Everyone pulls hard on that race so I'm having a hard time winning cuz they leave me behind while I'm peeling out...part throttle doesnt seem to help much either...

What settings can help me out here? I can't use tires due to race restritions....and I'm not that great at tuning the suspension or the differential as this is kinda my 1st GT game....

Any help would rock!!

Thanks

lol i used this car for it , it absoloutly champion half throttle , till 6000 in 4th. it makes 1100 kw's.
i changes nothing but hard tires,

If you're totally unwilling to use TCS, I'd suggest getting another car for this series.
If you will, it can be done stock (with realitive ease), you just need to learn how to drive it well.
I found it helped to feint and slide through the corners just a little, but you may drive differently.

Most definitely, part-throttle is the way to go on this car. I took it around Le Sarthe II with S2 tyres... on anything above half-throttle I got wheelspin. Even in 6th! what a laugh that was.

Seriously, if you want to win, try something else. Power is nothing without control - so if you can't control it, you are wasting the near-1100bhp.

Had the same problem in the same series... It was impossible to concentrate on traction control and trajectories and oponents and everything... so I turned TCS on for the first time in the game.

Burn,
GT4@89.3%

like i've said if your worried , just half throttle it , until 4th @ 6000 rpm then hammer it , but knowing me i've got an itchy right foot so it was planted.

I found winning the supercars festival quite easy with the Speed 12, however I love that car and I had put a lot of effort into masterin it in GT2 and 3 so it didn't take long to get the hang ofit in GT4. I've also found that it's incredibly quick round the Ring, you can get sub 7 min lap times with it stock if you're a good enough driver.

As far as settings go buy a rear wing from the GT auo shop and set the downforce to the max front and rear and have TCS set to between 3-7 depending on you're preference. Have softer tyres on the front to the rear. Is you're Speed 12 fully tuned or stock though, because mine is stock cept for the wing.

hey everyone.....

I beat the series....just took some driving skill lol

I setup the spoiler and tried some settings you guys suggested....

Thanks Alot!

P.S. I was drunk of my ass when I bought this car cause me and my friends thought it would be a cool car when we saw all the paint options LOL

There's one setting that transformed this car for me that I don't think you guys have mentioned. When I first saw it was an option, I couldn't imagine I'd ever use it on a car, but here you go:

Add 200kg of balast and shove it all in the back of the car. Sounds mad, but the extra weight over the driving wheels took over a second off my 1000m time. As you've all said, power isn't a problem in this car, it's getting it on the road, so an extra 200kg is more than offset by the added power on the road.

Worth a try anyway, see what you think :)

Heh, this car is absolutely MAD and I love it! Adding the ballast as Skiddy indicated may help prevent the insane wheelspin this car enjoys through all six forward gears, but I wouldn't recommend it. 200kg is equivalent to stuffing a 400 pound fat guy in the boot and for a car that weighs roughly 1000kg that would have an adverse affect on tire wear.

I would recommend increasing TCM to each track specifics and if you're a DFP user it's all about the throttle modulation. Tight twisty stuff takes a lot of practice. Recently used this car in the Like the Wind race and nearly lapped the field running at around 275mph.

You must have had it heavily modified. It can actually take the win stock, and its a close competitive race.
