Could anyone recommend some settings for this car? Everytime I try using it, the back wheels just spin like nuts, and I get outgunned by cars like the Speed 6 and even slower cars. Any thoughts? I have it fully upgraded to over 1000hp :(

Up the TCS...

Lengthen the gears...

Change the tyres...

Up the Downforce...

If that all fails... drop the power!!

Caution: Having a bad day at work so this is verging on a rant (nonetheless valid for all that).

No offence to 3rdEye specifically but, gentlemen, there is a search function on every forum in the world so why is it that people won't take the trouble to use them?

The Planet having the largest membership of GT players suffers the most but all do to some extent. I sometimes despair for the future of homo sapiens when so many members of the species seem to show so little sapience ...

In answer to your question Thirdeye, Yeti's pretty much covered it, other than being lighter with the go-pedal.

This subject was covered in this thread previously:

I widened the gears and turned the TCS up but I still came in only 5th, so I upgraded my XJ220 and won with ease :)

what are your setting specificly? also in gt4 ive noticed that you realy need to hone your feathering on the gas and break skills. precision gas and breaking are required also what type of tires do you have on it? the speed 12 has allwase been a real beast in every gt game its made an apperance try using a lesser stage turbo ( having the most hp dont mean squat if its uncontrolable ) if i remeber corectly in gt3 the best setup with this car used the stage 3 turbo not the stage 4

When you have that much power already (800bhp) the only thing that will really help is reducing weight and getting the best tyre setup you can. Tweaking with the race suspension would also help.
You can add real useable power to weight advantage by lightening for less than the power upgrades, and on a car that is already too powerfull for it's tyres, that is the best option in my opinion. Get more speed for less weight, not less grip for more power!

This has been said already but I'll say it again. The best way to drive the Speed 12 is feather the gas pedal when coming out of curves. If you feel or see the back end come out for under let off the gas. I learned this through the various incarnations in GT.
