Ello again

Does anyone know how to tame this beast? The handling on mine is not bad but traction is. Lighting up into 4th? Before anyone asks, I have traction and DSP off (more control) and the gearing to full.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated as I do like this car (fast fast fast fast!!!:D :D :D :D :D )
Cheers in avance

Heh, I've never tamed the beast. I think it tames you. That being said, I've had my best luck by not worrying the settings too much, and tending to coast through the apexes and ease back into the gas on the other side.

ASM off, TCS on 1. Stock - the only way to drive it.

Yes, Famine is correct! Glad I read the thread, as I would have posted this myself!
I have drift settings, however, they are posted. Oh yeah, I put on the last stage of the NA Tune up on, too, real close gears, and that's my settup, along with the no asm and tcs low.

I raced a stock Speed 12 in the Beginner World Championship Series (just for fun). The main opposition was the MR2 and Sylvia Race Cars. These 2 cars have very favourable things said about their handling. The Speed 12 will out corner those 2 cars. I think the important thing to remember when driving the Speed 12 is that due to very fast acceleration you have to brake ealier than normal for most corners.
I had ASC to 0 and TCS to 2 and found the car fun to drive when cornering at normal levels.

*sigh*

Yes. 2.147 billion mph. Look in the "READ THIS" threads in the main GT3 forum. Welcome to GTP etc.

And thats not a typo, I have 2 speed 12's, one is stock the other is fully tuned, the fully tuned one is easier to drive with my settings but I prefer to drive the stock one, I set TCS to 0 when I'm just having fun, but if I'm after fast times I set it to 1.

Ah,come on.That's a car with good handling!

The Speed 12 is awosome. In the begening i had problems driving it. To learn how to drive it i did a couple of laps on the complex string. I killed all the competion on the 2 hour Trial Mount. Endurance.
Does anyone have the Dodge Viper GTS concept car. I drove it in the time trials do you think its better than the Speed 12

I found that with the high powered rear drive cars that if you turn the limited slip deceleration up all the way and then adjust it down from there to taste you can break later and turn better under braking and coasting.

The Viper fails everything compared to the Speed 12.

Considering the competition thats not a difficult thing to do. As for the Viper it's no where near as good as the Speed 12.

I havn't gotten a hold of one yet in GT3 but in GT2 I made it drivable by increasing the traction control to maximum (I had to buy it in GT2) and tune down the LSD very low to decrease the tendency of the outer wheel to turn faster than the inner one (i.e to spin) I always remember it as the most spin-happy car in the car in the game but by doing this the beast was tamed, or at least contained!

It's harder to drive in GT3 since you can't race mod it and as a result can't give it more downforce. It still is a brilliant car to drive though.

I remember battling with this a while ago. I think I actually raised the ASM to quite high (maybe 13 or something) - as a way of countering the wheelspin. Might be imagining it though, should go back and check...
