Just a small observation. I bought it in yellow. I took a test drive in test course. It started fast, really fast on gear 2, then its top speed was around 155. So I was curious. I went to Supercarsite.net to see its standard gear ratios. Something didn't look right. The gear ratios I saw on the website didn't look like it matched the ones that was given to this car in GTPSP. So what I did was I went to GT4 and compared it. The tamora in gt4 had the same speed as the one in GTPSP. But then, after comparing the gt4 tamora and the psp tamora, I customized the gear ratios on the gt4 tamora to match the ones seen on supercarsite.net. I test drove it and got 180 mph.

Although this could be a arrangement made by TVR to be street legal but, as speculated on the GTPSP version, and the one I customized on gt4 to match the one the website told me, did the website got the info on it wrong or was this a small screw up by PD?

PD have gotten car's top speeds wrong for years. The GTR is supposed to max out at 190mph, but in GT5P, it can get past 200mph. The F40 is supposed to top out at 201mph, but it can go a bit further in GT5P. The Enzo should be able to hit around 230mph the most, but in GTPSP it stops at about 210mph.

Oh really? I thought it was clever transmission tuning so it rocket launches through sharp curves quickly. The final gear ratios was 3.730. Turns out gear one was set to 3.730 despite saying on the website 2.95:1. Of course I should have knew that when I read the catalog on the car in GTPSP.

EDIT: OH CRAP! I hope the speed isn't wrong on my Impreza!

I used to own a Tamora and I can tell it was faster (in each gear) and better handling in real-life than it seemed to be in both GT4 and GTPSP, and I did try changing setups to no avail.

My observation (as PJ-FFL also writes) is that some JPN cars seem to be souped up in GT v real life, and similarly some European cars 'slowed up' in GT v real-life.

Yeah GT is a SIM, but do not take some of the numbers too seriously. Just enjoy the game.

All that matters is that they were at least close to the actual speed thats all. On the other I just thought that this was a mistake made by either the website or by PD.

gt to me seems good but I could not tell you what a gear ratio is and how it works because of my poor maths level and i was never good at physics at school. :-(

They are taking too long they better do a very nice job. Its been a long time. On the other hand since I can't adjust gears in this game sadly. I wish there was a gamesave for that.

And the ZR1 will do 236 mph, Veyron 260 mph.

I already had the feeling that the speed was way wrong on the Veyron. My dad told me it went around 228mph (or something like that.) and ran out of fuel in 10 minutes.

Veyron gets to 252mph in real life and It does run out of fuel at that speed in ten minutes.
The vw beetlein the game is very slow however in real life it can easily reach alot quicker.
