I'm getting two apparently identical computers and I'm wondering what my options are to make the most of them.

I only need one system.

Details I know:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) Is-3570
CPU @ 3.40 Ghz
RAM: 16.0 GB
Power supply: Corsair GS 700
Graphics card: Gigabyte Geforce Gtx 670
Mother board: Gigabyte H77-D3H-MVP

Bracket all of that, and whatever else they would logically have, and times by two. What and how can I smash them together? I assume I can at least double up the graphics cards.

That's about it really. I doubt you'd have enough RAM slots and 32GB is a bit overkill really!

Sell one. The only thing you can viably do is SLI 670; as Dunc says, 32GB of RAM is *massive* overkill for anything short of 3D modelling/rendering and if the machines are 4x4GB as opposed to 2x8GB there's nothing you could do with the RAM anyway, seeing as *77 boards only have four DIMM slots :)

Yeah, I thought that marrying the cards or selling would be my only options. You guys have quickly confirmed that.

Sharky, do you have a ballpark idea of what the system might be worth right now? I'm in Oz, so I assume it'd be similar to NZ.

Thanks guys.

It would be worth quite a bit, I run a 3570K on Z77 with two 670s and would be quite surprised if I wouldn't be able to sell for at least NZ$1300.

Certainly a very nice dilemma to have!

Dumb question incoming.

If the rig comes with 2 PCs, doesn't that mean the rig needs 2 PCs?

Never fear, I'm quite sure I'm more dumberer than you.

No, it's designed for commercial use. The second computer is a backup.

Mine won't be for commercial use. Unless it turns out that I'm a complete arse, and charge my friends to use it. So yeah, on reflection, maybe mine is for commercial use after all.;)
