Nice find, I thought the skyline one was old at first until they showed the new skyline drifting. Very cool. Downloading the second right now...now if they can give us an new GTHD.......

Thanks for the links jfedor. As for the content goes...:irked:...It’s been 6 months since we have really seen anything new! And that’s all they have to give us. It still looks beautiful but the sound is junk. And why bother putting a jump on a track if the physics look like crap. Can we get some rebound or recoil or anything that resembles working suspension please? Sheesh.

The second vid was alright but it was nothing really new, interesting to see their studio again and all like the posters and disks of the old games on the wall, but I also want to hear new information...

So is "Gran Turismo Skyline - a passage to GT5" going to be a demo like the BMW 1-series Nurburgring demo for GT4/Prologue?

My 2 cents.
The R31 Skyline Sedan's name was pronounced as a French word like PASAAJ.;)

Yeah I know, thats how I have always known it (we have quite a lot of them here as imports), but it's written the same so I added that tidbit anyway.

BTW can you or anyone else please give us a rough translation of what is said in the second video? Thanks.

Here it goes, VIPERGTSR01, my translation.

Title: SKYLINE 50th Anniversary

Katoh:
This way, as you turn the steering wheel back, you should do that like this...
As it's an FR, I would say, while making the rear tires slide a little,
you control the angle by allowing some understeer, you turn the corner like this. That's the fastest way.
...
And then, in Gran Turismo's so far, it had been impossible to drive this way.
So, we have had a habit of counter-steering.
I mean, If you see the car from above, there should be more or less of a slip angle as I drive, but I can't do that.
Here, at this spot! I ought to be keeping the balance all the way, over here.

Caption:
Hiroyoshi Katoh: Born 1957 in Akita Pref.
In 1976, joined Nissan at vehicle testing lab.
Has worked in evaluating and developing such production cars as Skyline's, Z's, etc.
The top gun among Nissan's 700 test drivers now.
Dubbed "A man with God's hands" for his test driving ability.
...
In 2004, awarded a medal of honor by the Emperor.

1st vid is pretty old but second vid was nice...he has some smooth driving, wish they added that sedan v35 in the demo :(

actually the first vid featured the new skyline model, it looked like a replay(in the later part of the vid), seems like were going to have an update *evil grin* now gimme that F430

:sigh: Ok people... what year is it? and what GT are we on? Sooo.... WTF is their problem with sound?!?!? Some one should fire the ****ing sound department because that **** is unacceptable. WTF... why does it still sound like GT3?!?!?!?

I'm almost afraid to drive the F430 just because i'm not sure what it's going to sound like in game :nervous:

Notice it’s originally setup with a G25, then switched to a DFP when they actually start filming; see the G25 box in the background? Mind you, we first knew about the wheel’s presence at PD during the tour of the studios as part of last year’s Tokyo Game Show press circus.

I presume PD and Logitech have a “special” wheel in the works (based on the G25 hardware), as there’s been no official confirmation of G25 support in GT. It’d be silly to say that they’re supporting the G25 now, as loads of people would immediately go out and buy it. For PD to knowingly mislead fans into purchasing an inferior model prior to the launch of a new one, would only cause themselves a massive amount of backlash.

As far as I can see, it’s the only logical explanation as to why they haven’t officially backed the G25. I’d say to keep your eyes peeled for a new wheel to be released in conjunction with their next title, much like the DFP was done with GT4P.

I also spotted a 7th icon available on the special Nissan build, as opposed to 6 in GTHD Concept—hopefully when the 1080p version goes up on the PSN we’ll get a better idea what it is.

Good to see they’re using some project management which will hopefully prevent any sort of trademark behavior at PDs end, by delaying whatever they’re releasing… 👎:ouch:
So is "Gran Turismo × Skyline - a passage to GT5" going to be a demo like the BMW 1-series Nurburgring demo for GT4/Prologue?
It’s sure looking that way, though Kazunori loves his Fairlady’s. He also expressed the possibility for future collaborations with Ferrari, those of which are probably going to be more like the Nissan × GT one shown at the Geneva Motorshow and Nissan Motorsports Exhibition, rather than a downloadable or hardcopy promo like the BMW disc.

Thanks for the translation GTHDC.

I noticed the G25 setup in the video but like the original photo we saw of a G25 in PD's office a while ago the clutch pedal was broken or removed. I think they remove the main surface part of the clutch pedal because it probably interferes with their feet and the brake (obviously they haven't modeled a clutch yet, even in PD studio)
