two vertical bars on the 42' hdtv.

help, i tried getting rid of the two black bars on my tv, it's there, i want it to be full full screen, but it wont go full full screen, theres 2 annoying vertical bars that covers my screen on the left and right side and i want it to go away. help, i tried setting options to 16:9 and it's still like that, i tried setting to 4:3 and it's stilll ike that,i tried doing 480p and 1080i and it's still like that. help.

well, first there is an edit button so you don't have to double post. and i don't know if this should be in the settings thread, so you may want to use THIS, try to see if anyone else had the same problem. welcome to GTPlanet and good luck solving your problem.
