Just wondering if there is word yet on what kind of wheel support it will have? I assume close to the same, just hoping my Logitech GT still works.

The logitechs will definitely work. Expect all wheels from GT5 to work in GT6, plus a few more.

To be honest, only PD knows. There's a great chance the G27 will be compatible, since PD sticks with the PS3, for GT6.

Should do. Despite it's unofficial omission from the start of GT5 it was added so see no reason it won't work in GT6.

The advanced tyre / suspension improvements will mean the gap between wheel and pad users may become too big now. I've always used a wheel, ever since the PS1 days but feel GT6 will get some abuse from pad users because the way I've seen the cars move in the GT6 trailers show that fast / enjoyable lap times will need that fine touch only a wheel can give.

THIS issue about the wheel is one of my biggest concerns...In the past 5 Years since Gt5Prologue came out, I have used the same standard Sixaxis controller...

Some time ago I fell in love with such SIM race set, with a race seat and G27 and stuff...wow...But then I thougt...You should have bought this long time ago, now its too late...GT6 is coming soon on PS4....And of course no wheels for PS3 will be compatible with PS4....They want us to buy new ones, of course....

But now...GT6 comes on PS3:grumpy: Should I NOW buy myself this SIM set?? I`m 99% sure that all current wheels will be compatible with GT6....

hmmm my descision is hard to make..When will GT6 come on PS4?....And WHEN this will be released nobody knows, not even Kaz....It will depend on how good sales goes....And PD will look at how many people stop playing GT6 on PS3, when PS4 arrives...Of course the PS3 games will continue a while, with fewer and fewer players....As a matter of course...

GT6/PS3 COULD be a very short lived one...Anybody can tell PD will be forced to make a PS4 version ASAP...PS4 is going to eat the World...

Yes I will buy the GT6, but continue with my controller...
I will wait for the PS4 version before I buy myself this SIM set....AAAA....F...k...Controller for the next Year...And THEN....A super wheel.....G29 for Ps4/GT6 Yes...aaaaggh...Give me all Your money...:dunce:

.And of course no wheels for PS3 will be compatible with PS4....They want us to buy new ones, of course....
What would make you think that?
I would expect all wheels that worked with the PS3 to work with the PS4. I know my wheels work fine on the PS2 and PS3 as well as the PC and the Fanatec wheels I have also work with the Xbox 360.

I see no reason to believe that all of these wheels will not continue to work with the next PS

I don't expect from sony to make the same mistake as... well, I better let it uncalled.

PS2 wheels worked on PS3 because they did very well know that by far the most sold and avaible wheels were for PS2. Believe me, if the PS4 is going to have USB ports, and I'm very sure it will, then it won't be a big deal for Sony or the respective studios to support old PS2 and PS3 wheels.

I'm pretty sure the PS4 will have USB (3.0, maybe?) ports. I mean, how are we supposed to charge the (wireless) controller, if it doesn't have USBs? Surely, SONY won't include a wall-charger.

So, again, I'm pretty sure (I don't know of course) the DFP, the DFGT, the G25/G27 and the T500 RS, will be integrated, as they were in GT5.

Having read the latest posts here....Yes of course....Now I see it....ALL current PS3 wheels will be compatible with BOTH GT6/PS3 AND GT6PS4...Yes....BUT I`m still not happy....Because when PS4 comes, Logitech and all other wheel makers will come up with brand new wheels shortly after PS4 release...G27 can be used, but will not be "the one to want" anymore...So I will still not buy my dream set until next generation wheels come...But it`s a good (and annoying) excuse for me to keep on being a "lower average" driver with my clumsy thumb on the stick....:sly:

Will the G27 be on par with the PC while running GT6 on the PS3? For GT5, the G27 felt nothing like it did on the PC.

Well there are always newer and better wheels coming out and this has nothing to do with the PS4. You don't need the latest wheel to come on the market you just need to determine what you want and your budget then make a choice. for those on a tight budget the DFGT is a decent wheel for use with the PS or PC The g25 and g27 are of course better and carry a bigger price tag also good for PS and PC Fanatec have a few wheels that work on the PS and PC that are very good and a bit cheaper than thier other wheels which work with the PS. PC and Xbox.

So if you are only using the PS and perhaps a PC for racing there are lots of options. If you also may want to use an XBox360 then the choice is limited.

I have no idea if the existing wheels will work with the new XBox. Would be great if they made it work with the USB wheels but that is not the case with the 360

Officialy logitech is not going to continue their wheel product segment.

This is game related, not PS3 vs PC.

I doubt you ever played GT5 on a PC.

Of course i never played GT5 on the PC. The G27 feels dead while playing GT5 on the PS3. PC sims, the G27 comes alive. It feels like a completely different wheel.

That seems to be in GT5. I use a Fanatec on both the PS and XBox and in GT5 the FFB is much stronger than it is on Forza but there are some feedback that are just not there. GT5 does not give you the virbation that you get with Forza when you run up on a rumble strip or rough pavement. You can feel the wheel kick when you hit the strip but the vibration isn't there where on Forza you can feel the vibration well and the kick is there but not as strong. GT5 also has some issues when traveling in a straight line more pronounced on some cars than others but unless you set some dead zone or linearity on the wheel it can be a battle to hold some cars straight.

Shift2 on the Xbox was the worst I ever tried. With the default settings you could not even feel the road nor the center of the wheel making you wander all over the place and feelign like the wheels were not touching the ground but then if you went off track the FFB was extremely forceful. Worst game I ever tried. Eventually I did find some settings that allowed me to drive a clean lap around the ring but .....

On some PC games the wheel feels awesome better than it does on either console.

Well, maybe not all. You'll be able to use it in major amount of games, from post the release of the wheel (2010?).

Here's all games you can use it in. Since it's Wikipedia, some might be missing.

thanks bro .. i want Buy new G27 for GT5 and GT6 Because the old one is broken . but im Confused .. maybe G27 not work with GT6 .. do you recommend purchase G27 .Or wait for Information about GT6

They better add proper support for the Fanatec wheels, I swapped my G25 for a Fanatec GT3 RS V2 with Clubsport pedals and never looked back!
