You hit it right on the nose Doug. . . As for when it is coming out is unknown to me. I haven't done too much research on it, and the dealership is not letting any info out to me. I'll will get back with a release date soon. *slowly chipping away at the Boss about the car*Originally posted by M5Power
I personally would like to see the three-door.
I can see clearly now, thx DougOriginally posted by M5Power

This is supposed to be out when?
Ok, the Inline 5 is confirmed. I have nit heard of the 2.0T engine yet, and tyhe 3.2 VR6 with 4motion. I will further investigate.Originally posted by T13R
www.vwvortex.com claims it will come with 3 types of 6 speed gearboxes. A 6 speed manual, 6 speed tiptronic and a 6 speed DSG unit. The base engine will be an inline-5 with 150 bhp, the 1.8T will be replaced by a 16 valve 2.0T giving out 200 bhp (base for the GTi model), and the 3.2L VR6 engine should be available later on with the 4Motion. Now what I want to know is if all of this is true? Miata13B, do you have any new info?

Didn't you have this whole long discussion about an AWD VR6 Golf with me and said it was not worth it basically????Originally posted by M5Power
That would be the ultimate, wouldn't it? The sensible, well-built Golf plus a very good all-wheel drive system and a VR6 - the US would eat that up.

No. Both cars are sold to people who want to go quickly, have a fun new car, and look good. Remember, the WRX comes in a hatch too. The WRX is $24,000 and does 0-60 in 5.6. The R32 is $28,000 and does 0-60 in 6.5. Volkswagen built this car for European standards and anybody who buys one is passing up a much better deal from Subaru. I cannot understand why you would call them in seperate leagues. [/B]
Sorry for starting this again, but I could not let up on the post . T13R wanna Hijack this one. . . j/k we said what needed to be said, it is just funny the 180 degree slide that happenedOriginally posted by T13R
Lets not start this again... it has been pointless before and it will remain pointless. I couldnt care less about the WRX and what you think about this one topic M5. People will buy these new Golf's even if YOU think they would be passing up a better offer on a WRX. Then again.. why isnt everyone buying WRX's since its such a good offer?
Edit: I see ALOT more 1.8T's and VR6's than WRX's, and Im in North America just like you. I might see one WRX a week if I get lucky, or passing in front of a Subaru dealer per chance. 1.8T's and VR6's I see everyday.
Sorry, I didnt notice this, but dont you think it would be impossible to create a V5 ??? V type engines always have to have an even number of cylinders. A 5 cylinder engine must be inline, therefore a 5 inline, and not VR5.Originally posted by GTJugend
l-5, Isn't it a vr5?
