UK courses getting upgrades

This is an interesting move for Octagon. The real issue is that Octagon lost loads of money last year, and that has significantly affected the financial standing of their parent company.

The circuits in question definitely need the money, although the £325,000 for Snetterton and Cadwell park is less than 10% of the investment that these circuits need.

It's a step in the right direction, and (more significantly), it's an indication that Octagon are serious about British motorsport.

what exactly was your point though:confused:

Because it's news and being race tracks, races would be affected.

I can't believe they've got rid of Dingle Dell! Seeing the BTCC cars come through there airborne is one of the most spectacular sights in motorsport!

Good to see Oulton is getting the Pits it finally deserves, best track in the UK in my opinion!

The reason why they're getting rid of the Dingle Dell chicane is because it considered too dangerous for the motorcyclists.

Since it's only the Superbike GP which keeps the circuit anywhere remotely near profitability I guess we can't complain. But it's a shame to lose it because it was about the only place on a UK circuit where the cars took off.

For track layout? I would agree. Closely followed by Donington. Knockhill is pretty special in that department too.

my point with dingle dell is that they could have easily created a paice of track to go round it just like knickerbrook at Oulton. Instead they've gotten rid of it altogether.
